Austin before Austin. The real deal. When I was 13 watching WWF television in NJ, here he came. And he went through the screen and scared the shit out of me. Only the the Samoans had that effect on me. He deserved so much more and better from the business he got black-balled from protecting.

Man, Dr. D was someone I didn't know about until later in life. As a kid, it was all about Hogan, etc. I've watched a lot of videos on David Schultz and he has to be the most interesting man in pro wrestling and outside of it. To this day, he is still a better speaker and promo cutter than most of the people out there. From being in Vietnam to pro wrestling to a bounty hunter and everything in between, you could listen to his stories for hours. I ordered his book and had no clue about most of what was in it but it was one of the best reads entertainment wise in a very long time. Awesome to see him up there getting his dues, although they came way too late.
I worked in the CT. Prisons. He was 100% the most feared bounty hunter according to the inmates

b) that incident made up WWF and propelled wrestling to the dominant form of entertainment
c) he gave the due respects to that arrogant mustachio
d) he was a hell of an wrestler and a persona
e) he was catching murderers and gangsters for a living.

The ironic thing is that David Schultz is 63 now, and has out lived so many other wrestlers, and also chose a career after wrestling that also was a high risk profession. I'm happy that he is lucid and seems well.

One of the best ever, why the example he did a perfect promo right off the bat. lesson for new wrestlers is. Be truthful and honest is how to do a promo. that is be honest in your presentation and truthful to who you are and the situation .
According to other interviews he never had a drink or went out partying in bars w the boys..other wrestlers glorify things they should be ashamed of fights like rick rude pimping his girlfriend just to pick a fight,and other wrestlers laugh at that wow! dr. d put bad guys away and protected the biz and stood humble ..congrats

Now this was set a great video to watch. I was 9 years old in 1979 and just started watching wrestling. I have to give Dr D his props. Man he was so dedicated to his craft ,when he was wrestling and defended the business like his life depended on it. A True Blue, patriot of the business! I would love to shake his hand and tell him how proud I am,of him. He is a bad ass which I could never be. He gets my respect any damn day of the week!!!!!!!!

I loved him on Stampede Wrestling. He gave the best interviews and had the best rivalries. Wrestling has not been as good since those days when wrestling was far more serious, not an over-the-top soap opera.

I enjoyed watching SCSA more than anybody in wrestling but Dr. D was the OG. Nobody messed with him in or outta the business and if I was SCSA I still to this day wouldn't be saying much about him. I heard Dr. D on his podcast a year or so ago must've said something after that they sounded petty cordial on the show because had they not been the good Dr. would've told him about it. He cut some hellacious promos in his time.
