I love my Thuren fab custom valved shocks, track bar, sway bar, end links, shackles, and leveling coils. Thumbs up for going with a quality suspension!!!
Love it, you are 1 step ahead, or maybe 20 steps, of my 18' Dually build. I also have an 05' and while I love the 5.9, the Dually is so much nicer to drive. I was looking at the same Thuren kit, but with the 1/2" springs. My dually seems to be pretty level when towing in Alt Height mode, so I din't want to go much higher in the front. I'll stay tuned for the outcome!

Very clean setup w/ the Thuren kits. I’m hoping to install their front sway bar if Josh (Dirty Diesels) can figure out a way to get it to work w/ my 6” BDS lift.
I'm glad someone said something about IR guns.. in my opinion, the 2131 is absolutely the best gun on the market and has been for years! I took the resonator off mine and it sounds like a Nascar gun. Amazing power and durability. IR has compressors and impact wrenches (guns) on lock!
shocks are upside down....while this isn't too big of a deal with nitrogen charged shocks, you will collect dirt that will sit around the shock shaft and wear out the seals prematurely.

No such thing as "upside down" shocks with IFP shocks, and these rear shocks have to be installed this way, as there is no room for them to be body-up. Many applications require shaft-up mounting, many vehicles come that way from the factory, and that has nothing to do with shaft wear.
OEM mounts them that way in the rear. But I guess you could mount them upside down or put boots on them if you wanted
There are such things as upside down shocks. Some will leak if mounted upside down. Seen it. Been there. It was the old style bds gas shocks. My old boss also works for bds and it’s a thing

I just picked up a 5500 and don't have a bed yet and I'm surprised how smooth it rides (for what it is). Picked up an 08 F 550 c/c years back and you could almost feel the lines in the road it was so stiff, my father and I had to go to the chiropractor the next day no joke. I have an 8 month wait on my custom body and cant wait to see how smooth it will ride for a 5500.
Awesome awesome video Greg A, the go pro footage turned out awesome. 20,000 miles, that’s awfully quick on the bushings in the track bar, hopefully their’s will last longer than factory. The rear end already looks better can’t wait to see the front end done plus the road test.
I love the front end of this Ram (classic look) over the new style. Good review and nice truck too. Love the black wheels and Nittos. Thuren is a good company like Carli - attention to quality and details. Deaver can make you a custom leaf spring for a better ride. This is a great review.

Greg, have you looked into the Gen-y gooseneck coupler? It used a torsion suspension to absorb some of the load from the trailer.
Yeah that gun does dozer belly pans and cutting edges and track bolts for me at work not to "spec" but it does it lol awesome lift!!

the ir impact we have at work wont take off my dually wheels on my duramax. and thats on setting 4 at 140psi wont budge them i gotta breaker bar them all loose before using the ir
I too also have a dually drove big truck for 29 years I want a nice ride not off road I also find if I go to much wider in the rear end. I’ll be driving more as to keep it from going into other lane.. I like to relaxe when I drive so I’ll be getting this suspension if I can not sure about tires I like wide but not tooooo wide

The air ride sensors you were talking about. I installed a 2.5 leveling kit on the front of my 2016 but the rear need to come up about 1 inch to make it level were can I get a set of the air bag sensors to do that

And we have the same impact at work and it’s awesome. I have an older IR 2131 that I got when I started out at the dealerships back in 2000 and it doesn’t have quite as much power as it used to but I have to keep it lubed.

Did you get the new 4g pump? I just got one a couple months ago and LOVE it. You can literally barely here the pump running. But one tip for ya is to make sure you have a quick disconnect tool around. They suck if you don't 👍
Blake Ciskowski yeah I got the 4g II pump. my fuel lines did NOT want to come off. They wouldn’t even spin. Just rusted and the fingers wouldn’t compress. I have the plastic and metal tools. I fought them for three days and I finally just cut the line and slipped the hose over it and put s clamp on it. Almost done w the install. I just have literally NO time to work on it.
@@35057 that's exactly what I did with no issues before I exploded my motor. LOL. But I did find a few good leaks up by the cp3 with all the extra pressure 😂
Got two shocks mounted !!! I work all day to and when i get home and to the shop i get as much done as i can. I guess when all your friend's or gone and no one to help you i guess two shocks is all you can do in one day
Nice looking truck. What size rims and tires are you running and what are the off sets. I have a 2014 daully and want to level it and put a nice set of rims and tires on without running spacers on the rear tires

Install a synergy steering brace at the same time as the active sway bar, rough country and other brands won't work ask me how I know. Nice upgrade

I have a second gen that rides like that, it has rear leafs for a tool box and now that isn't there.
Great choice of suspension. But I had a question about the auto level air ride. Would it be possible to do a reverse leave like you have done on your 3rd gens or would that mess with the auto level system saying you were always low in the rear
Adventure Bound Offroad my 4th gen 2500 lets me change to alt trailer height witch lowers one inch and then compensates for the trailer so it’s kinda a reverse level if you don’t load the trailer onto the truck

Greg, would you ever consider doing a 2500 front wheel? Imo it would really set the dually off. Plus its different from most out there even a little bit more yet. And love my thuren 2" coils👍👍
UPstater5.9 when he got these wheels I believe he said he wouldn't put a regular wheel on the front because he didn't want tons of crap thrown on to the rear dually fenders because they would stick out a lot further.
@@smcox1991 I guess, but if that was the case dont get a crazy offset. Something to fill the wheel well up would still look better than the dually front. In my opinion
Not to mention you would need to carry a third non-dually wheel with you in case of a flat. Where as when you have a dually and 6 like wheels on it, when you get a flat in the front you can pull one off the rear and put it up front and be on your way. You can't do that once you put SRW wheels up front because in order to run those you have to remove the dually adapters. It's basically the exact same downside as running super singles. Yea they may look cool, but really can lead to more issues than they're worth. Maybe on a show truck but not your tow vehicle, no way.
You say there's not many I see them in magazines all the time where they took the front dually spacers off and run them as a regular type wheel. I'm like one of the other guys with my dually I only hafto carry one spare unless I'm pulling a trailer and even my cattle trailer I can swap them out if need be
I disable and cleaned my 3rd gen injectors with a tooth brush😏
