  • This is the first episode of Mandisi Dyantyis "Conversation Series" There will be five episodes that will feature over the next five month Conversation Series. In the honour of June 27th, Youth Day, Mandisi will discuss the part the youth played in the struggle and also pay homage to those who came before us. Songs Of Freedom, Songs Of Liberation and Songs Of Triumph will be performed in tribute to the who stood up against injustice and sacrificed themselves for the greater good.
    These songs will be chosen from The Mandisi Dyantyis catalogue as well as other "Umzabalazo" songs.

    I think, one of the areas where the enemy has succeeded in is to deconsciountise us even through simple things like music. I believe the more people hear your songs, they will ignite a spark to slowly awaken a sense of our origin because we long for it.

    I remeber last year (2020) I was taking part in the sanlam half marathon virtual run, I bumped into him at Kalk Bay and I was just like waving "ei mkhuluwa " and he smiled and waved will never forget that moment what a humble guy.

    1st time I hear someone share the same sentiments as mine regarding that Enoch Sontonga hymn. Thank you. "Woza Moya oyingcwele" is the apex of the song....
    Perhaps they deliberately took it out to remove the emotional connection with the song. It might evoke some emotions, and that maybe scares them. You sang it beautifully. Camagu!
