I just want to say blues rock isn't very common anymore. These guys are young, and they are the best blues rockers to come out since Black Crowes. They may not be entirely original but what a glorious and familiar sound...they are so balls to the wall! I am exceedingly grateful that someone new is carrying this torch.
This vocalist is simply unbelievable. The rest of the band arent bad, but this Dude can really belt it out. He kinda reminds me of Ray Gillen from Badlands. I think the singer is destined for great things...

I went to a Evanescence show in Phoenix, Rival Sons was the opening band. Needless to say, I walked out of Evanescence to meet these guys and get my ticket signed by Jay haha. They were just the coolest guys ever, they were really nice and really laid back and above all, they are PERFECT live! I love them!
Absolutely bad ass! I love how bands like this, Clutch and a few others can take a fairly simple idea, slather it with a healthy dose of attitude and talent till it becomes a monster song!!! Thank you!
Yes, Jay Buchanan is awesome, but the truly greats in this band is the rythm section, in my opinion. They go so well together, and are really amazing. I do belive Jay even said so in an interview.

Saw them tonight supporting BSC and they were quality. When will people learn that 99.9% music is born of that which went before? I love Zep but also love the blues which pre-dates them. Rival Sons float my boat so I'll enjoy them FULL STOP.

Saw these at the Slade rooms this month and they were unbelievable,tiny venue and i was about a foot away from Scott Holiday who never played a wrong note all night,check out "Soul", frighteningly good. A proper fucking rock n roll band no doubt about it.

Its nice to hear a new band that actually still cares about making melody and grooving people, rather than seeing how fast they can shred unmelodically with as much gain as possible while someone just screams about depressing shit.
The parallels to Zeppelin are clear both in total and as separate band members but its also fresh and new sounding. I love all kind of music but there is something special about that relentless balls out guitar rock. Not metal and not punk...but every bit as hard!
Not many vocalists can maintain the great animosity in their voices that they achieve in the studio anymore. Very talented dudes.
