Clone troopers being elite in The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch series. Clones always rose to the occasion when it came to outsmarting their enemy. The clone troopers were highly skilled soldiers capable of thinking outside the box. The clones gave their all to the Republic before Order 66 happened. When the Jedi are absent, and the Clones are permitted to utilize their full training.
Honestly if you told me that they had a programming like order 66 but constant where when they were around Jedi they were slightly worse. Something subtle like missing one or two shots at the worst moments around Jedi and the clones think it’s just battle fatigue. Yeah I could see that happening as a good way for palpatine to thin out the jedi.

Jedi really shoudve been used as force multipliers in a unit. Clone Officers shouldve held the military command. Really skilled jedi with an aptitude for military strategy could be promoted to take command, but overall Clone Commanders wouldve been way better and would have led to more GAR wins.
@@swide2750 Jedi suck ass at actual military tactics. They aren’t exactly trained to operate a ground assault or defense and honestly if a Jedi dies it most certainly would actually make the unit more cohesive and capable. Someone that’s actually trained to lead will take over, a unit of troops is never lead just by the CO (Commanding Officer) but also by additional officers who are lower rank.
I like the fact that that ATTE Gunner managed to shoot a rocket out of the air with the main gun.
The main gunner can control only the MAIN cannon, the rest are controlled by other Clones
@@FunniMillie I know, but it appeared that it was a shot from the main cannon that hit the rocket. It also appeared he fired the gun at more or less the same time the rocket was hit.

@@NickDavisAltworld I don’t think they could have been cheaper. It takes a lot of money to train a new person for war. Think about it, everyone is different, you’d have to hire good instructors, buy or order different sizes for equipment, and also make sure no one has allergies that could cause major problems. Most of these problems become a non-issue with clones, first of all we already have veterans who can train the next batch of troops so you don’t have to hire anyone. Secondly everyone is practically the same so same size equipment for everyone. They also don’t have that strong of a personality and will-power so they are easily manipulated by using genes and chips as seen within the franchise.
The worst part would be enlarging the cloning infrastructure to support a bigger army because the current number is way too low and that is probably what makes it cheaper short term but long term I’d imagine it’s infinitely better to just clone your army.
@@Mayflower-Yev I feel like using the excuse "cheaper" is just their way to justify replacing the clones to the Kaminoans and the senate but in truth, Tarkin and Palpatine never liked the clone's individuality. It makes them seem unpredictable and even disobedient despite the inhibitor chips (Fives is a good example)
And in the end, they were right as well, there hasn't been much cases of stormtroopers defecting or betraying the empire. Clones on the other hand, began questioning orders shortly after order 66 happened
To be fair, everything Clone Force 99 does is, elite.

I do wish they had the incentive to show this same level of prowess if not greater for ARC troopers and Clone Commandos.
I completely agree bc most of the time while they were on screen they seemed to just be canon fodder
I just want to say Fives and Echo were ARC troopers and leave it at that.

Glad to see the Horn Company trooper get some credit
You can really see the way the Clones' tactics against the droids evolved throughout the war. They regularly struggled against Droideka shields early on, but by the war's end and just afterward they were calm and practiced at exploiting the weaknesses of the design like when Nova was able to use the droid popper while the Droideka was still rolling.
The Bad Batch is made up of the most skilled clones. I think either Hunter or Crosshair are possess the best skillset.

I still think if palpatine kept using the clone army instead of rerouting funds to make a big metal death ball, he probably would've won.

A lot of fans seem to forget these dudes aren't just random goobers. They are trained from birth to be soldiers everyone of them is elite and so over trained by our standards and are able to use any weapon in the GAR if need be any random shinny can immediately jump into a LAAT or an AT-TE and start blasting droids.

lol Ventress was never supposed to get the DNA, that was the whole idea. The attack on kamino would fail, but the DNA archives and cloning facility stuff would receive more protection. It was one of Palpatine's ploys, hence why the majority of droid forces present were Aqua droids and they were outnumbered by the clones. The fact that the aqua droids performed so well despite being slow as heck on land and not having strong armour like B2s is the really shocking thing.
