I thought I was actually going to witness a race, not a 750 being held back by a smart car being in the way. The science of it though. R1 engine in a smart car, 150BHP and the power to weight ratio of the two is probably going to give for a very fast smart car. Although I suspect the 750, if given the room to pass would still smoke the smart car considering the R1 engine, despite it's awesome power, is still having to fight with the weight of the car. Brakes would also have to be upgraded in the car too to compensate for the extra stopping power needed. I still think the bike would win, even though it's competing with the smart car fitted with an R1 engine.
This is what I don't under stand.my bike with mods makes 151 HP weighs 520 lbs with no rider.your smart car.with r1 engine weighs around 1500 lbs.and makes around 170 HP.and still looks like u would smoke me ?? Even the 750 has to push it to keep up?? Is the r1 motor stock?? Awesome build bro!!!
Smart cars are actually very light when the stock motor is ripped out and the car is stripped down. My friends are building three FZ1, R1, and a CBR1000 smart cars and with th emotor out i can lift up the back of the car by myself. they're extremely light and a great building platform. You just have to worry about the chain snapping XD
obviously no car could beat a bike, no matter what, the car could have 12 r1 motors against an r6, bike will win everytime, except when filming their car....
Unless that is on a track which it doesn't look like one you both should be locked up for dangerous reckless driving. It's great fun until you kill someone act responsibly.
Philip Cooper The problem with the middle of nowhere is that sometimes people other than yourself often find themselves walking or riding so if they are screaming around racing and suddenly someone appears out of nowhere they could end up killing them. Do this type of thing on a track otherwise you should be locked up for dangerous driving, use sense racing on public roads is never a good idea unless it has been specially set up for that. It's no good saying sorry mate I didn't think anyone would be walking in the woods or walking along the road it's too late once you hit them. Keep it for the track.

Let's say one of you broke down, would you just sit there doing nothing till you starved to death or would you walk somewhere to try and get help assuming your mobile didn't work. Or what if people are out for a nice quite walk in the country to then find you racing along the country lanes? Em another, what if you crashed would you just lay in the road till someone picked you up, no you would walk to somewhere wouldn't you! People walk places all the time, we had legs before we had cars so to think people wouldn't be walking along a country road seems odd to say the least.
So besides all of the emergent situations, choosing to walk alongside a roadside is dangerous and dumb. If you want to enjoy the countryside go walk on a trail. Being irresponsible for your own safety is dumb no matter what the activity. You wouldn't be arguing if we were talking about walking on a railway.

It probably wont be geared for 180mph either. So it will have a lot more low down speed.
