Is responsibility a curse? Or a gift?
The truth is, it can be both.
When we perceive responsibility in an unhealthy way, we fall into 'Over-giving Mother' archetypal patterns. We take on responsibilities that are not ours and, as such, over-give and over-serve. This can leave us exhausted. But most importantly, it’s practically impossible to grow our impact and our ability to receive while practicing these patterns, whether consciously or unconsciously.
Responsibility can also be a gift. It can massively expand our capacity to serve and receive. But we have to be able to view it in a more powerful way and organise our thinking and actions (or inaction) around it.
