A man standing directly in front of the goalkeeper in an offside position, can be doing nothing other than effecting play. This decision is not as bad as some of the shit we've had recently. Two penalties for defenders being fouled last week, a penalty given against Areola for being punched in the face. Numerous other goals chalked off for nothing. Even their penaly was dubious and don't get me started about the Emmerson "goal".

I think he’s only impacting the game if Fabianski can’t see the ball, which diagrams have shown he could at all times. The Wolves player is two feet away. So should not have been deemed interfering with play. On the other hand, a ref might have interpreted that Ward Prouses goal should be ruled out as the Wolves keeper was definitely knocked as he jumped, tho only slightly and the player was not offside. It’s just about interpretations and once it’s a 50-50 as a Wolves fan we’ve just given up with getting things from VAR, tho I guess you lads feel the same about being constantly shafted.
We had a decision against Antonio the previous week which they gave offside
The European Cup runs and with our position in the League, does show how much this team has a strength of attitude. Previous WH teams would of lost matches like these.
Learning on how 'not to lose', has been a long & laborious journey under David Moyes but was the thing we most needed. Good times (& Good football) ahead I'm sure. COYI!

James Ward Prowse. A craftsman of many set pieces and assists. To me he has to be up there as one of the bedt midfielders in the country. Just gives everything when he plays from the beginning or is a substitute, good game or no good game, his commitment levels are second to none. But it's not just him, his team have always been good to watch. Glad they did leave the West Midlands with all three points, if that Kilman goal stood, it would have been another one of those results where they played probably not so well first half, but improved second half and yet did not get the win they feel they deserve.

How does that work in practice though? Is there an executive in the room, or have the technicians/refs been briefed? And the refs, too? Are they being told in their earpiece what decision they should come to? You don't think this would come out, that someone with a grievance would rat them out and have recordings to prove it? There are *_structural and psychological_* reasons that the league favours the "top" clubs but it's hardly some cabal of wicked pantomime characters muttering in darkened video booths. I am 100% against VAR and yes television "likes" it because it increases aggrieved responses which in turn increase participation in social media, etc., which in the end means more eyes on advertising. That's where the conspiracy is, in commercial interests driving discord and dissatisfaction which increases social media engagement, etc. Same in politics, innit.

Im sorry, but Moyes did a pretty good with this. Understanding that this game was hypothetically 2 and 1/9ths, the subs, some short passes creeping towards areas to give away corners, and luckily having it land on our side for once on two occasions 2nd half. Also, second half, Johnson, Cresswell, Antonio, Emerson were almost making it like West Ham were playing possum, and waking up with momentum towards the end.
Moyes helped set that up.
Give credit where it's due. Luck wasnt the only good thing on our sides, it was performance on parts on the pitch and off today.
