    My test came back negative but before i got the results i told my doctor that i thought i would get a false negative....because what they made me drink didn't hit me until two and a half days later (I have gastroparesis as well). Made me sick as a dog! He decided to go ahead and treat me with Augmentin and i noticed the prescription is only for 10 days. I took Augmentin a year ago for bronchitis and it did nothing to help my stomach. Should I push for a different antibiotic and for an extended treatment?

    Hi doctor,
    Thank you so much for the Video. I don't know what I have? But after diverticulitis surgery I started to have a ton of stool problems? My surgery over two years and one month. I knew for sure something did not go well after the surgery. I believed my colon after the surgery become extremely narrow, the way how they stabled my colon almost like a closed circle. After the surgery my stool is very much look like a sheep stool? I took every thing in the market to change it, nothing change?
    So I have a very hard stool ( small round circle )?? For almost 14 months and I have pain with that when I go to the bathroom? Then all the sudden I started to have a lot of gas, a lot of inflammation especially in the morning and after I eat anything any time? The inflammation / bloating is moved not just in my colon but all around my west and kidney? Then to my hand and feed? I pass a lot of gas, very bed smell. I never have anything like this before??
    The past 3 months started to have swelling glands / and around my nick every time I eat the swelling are back and forth?
    The past 8 months I have been suffering with a lot of pain and inflammation in my stomach, colon and kidney and my stool changed from very hard stool to a creamy stool?? Is all this symptoms explain I may have SIBO?? None of the many .... many .... doctors including my family doctor mentioned anything about SIBO? I did ton of blood test Ct scan, and stool culture, None of them show anything. So I am trying to find out what I have?? And what should I do where I start. My inflammation in the morning is so bad and now my hand, feed and glands started to have inflammation?? I am open to any advice.
    Thank you,

    Hi Dr. Ruscio,
    I just came across your videos discussing SIBO and I have a few questions pertaining to that. I was diagnosed with SIBO around January of this year. Antibiotics failed to work, if not made symptoms worse. I am in the process of pinpointing the underlying issue that caused SIBO in the first place. In the meantime I would like to find some sort of herb or medications that can help relieve symptoms due to the fact that I am basically in pain and extremely uncomfortable everyday. Is there anything at all that you would recommend?
    Best regards,
    Summer

    • @drewmorg.
      @drewmorg. Před 6 lety

      Summer, many are turning to Carnivore diet/Keto with minimal plant fibers. Have you gone this route at all? I had horrendous and chronic bloating/gas while on my vegan diet of 5 years. Never got better. Fruit Smoothies were particularly offensive to my gut. I moved to Carnivore 3 weeks ago and have never had such a tranquil digestive experience. I am beginning to think SIBO is a fancy term for "you eat too many carbs and now your stomach is pissed off".

    • @summerlemke697
      @summerlemke697 Před 6 lety +1

      drewmorg thank you for your feedback! I actually went vegan due to my stomach issues and things just stayed the same and then this past year it got even worse and I was diagnosed with SIBO. I honestly would never go back to eating animal products. I just think this all started from something (the underlying cause) that eventually turned into SIBO due to not doing anything about my initial stomach issues in the first place.

    • @drewmorg.
      @drewmorg. Před 6 lety

      I feel your pain and understand your ethical and health resistance to the keto/carnivore message. It was a hard decision for me to make but I simply could not stomach any more plant fiber. I tried everything on the vegan diet. I've even made videos on my channel about doing a 30 day juice cleanse, check it out. I was not formally diagnosed with SIBO or Candida overgrowth but I did still have white on my tongue as well as insane amounts of bloating and gas. I know a lot of vegans in real life and talk to them about their health situations and I'd say 50% are struggling with these gut issues. There is a huge prominence of this in the vegan community even on CZcams, some people are open and honest about it - male and female. The people I notice who don't really struggle with any gut issues are the ones who are not athletic at all and do not push the boundaries of their bodies whatsoever - aka malnourished and very skinny looking people. Of course, there is no free ride and this comes with other consequences long term like vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
      The more I research SIBO the more it seems like it is actually CAUSED by a heavy plant fiber diet. The sugar and fiber seems to damage the gut and proliferate the bad bacteria all throughout. Just look into the way humans vs. other monkeys and apes digest their food. That will be very eye opening for you.

    I went to a doctor in the 90's for mystomach problems and I was diagnosed with IBS. It has been ruining my life. (IBS-C) I have tried herbal antibiotics and it did not go away. I have tried probiotics (VSL, Prescript Assist, and maybe a coupple others) but I have not had any luck. I dont know what to do anymore or who could help. I live in Massachusetts and I have not worked in a year. My vitamin D is low and my testosterone (total testosterone) was at 425 which is that of an 80 something year old. I dont know what to do anymore but don't have much money and not sure what to do because I no longer have any income. I dont know what to do but i'm tired of suffering. 20 years is long enough.
