Beau Goes to the Hardware Store! - Washington, DC, USA

A sunny Saturday had us taking a walk to the Ace Hardware. There were a lot of people and dogs out and about once we hit Wisconsin Avenue. Beau navigated the obstacles and distractions nicely. While my camera work is not great, you can see how often he checks in with me. I am pleased with his engagement and we worked on some ‘drop in motion’ and ‘recall’ - a perfect way to have some fun and get in some skills practice!

How cold does it have to be for you to know Beau needs a jacket?

Dobermans are a single-coated dog so they can get cold easily. If we are going out for more than 10 minutes and it is below 50F/10C I will put on one of his layers. This day it was about 40 as a high so he had his slightly warmer fleece hoodie. Hope this helps and thank you for watching!!
