We've been saying this for over 30 years and with so much more content and context, but because we weren't famous like Michael Jordan or these other shuyukh and it threatened the status quo, we were blacklisted and looked down upon. The deen started off strange to the people, and towards the end, it will become strange, and those who carry it will be opposed by many and followed by only a few. As long as you are adherent to the teachings of the Glorious Quran and follow the path of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his righteous Sahaba (companions - radhiyallahu anhum), be sure that you will in shaa Allah, be guided on the straight path by the Almighty Allah.

I agree with what you said, however you're missing a point. Take for example number 1) Do not commit shirk. There are literally many variations as to what counts as shirk. And that's where Muslims debate their own perspective. And that's what this video is about. If you're in doubt, make du'a to Allah so that Only He then will guide you.

Easier said than done when people say don't follow a sect, just be a Muslim. Even when they say this they are following a certain sect. Alhamdolillah Quran is unchanged however Sunnah has been changed and narrated by different people who some find authentic and some don't and that's where sects come from. For me, the best sect is that comes from the Prophet's family tree which would be the Ehlul Bait.

As Salamu Alaykum The problem is the people who do bidah also claim they’re Sunni. The people who don’t like to follow the Sunnah claim themselves that. Disobedient sects like to call themselves Sunni. The right one is the one who follow the Quran, authentic Sunnah and on the understandings of the salaf. Some Hadith scholars view it as a weak Hadith about the 73 sects, some as Hasan (just below Sahih but strong enough to be considered overall authentic).

Totally agreed. We should call ourselves Muslims (not ANY other name i.e. shia sunni, etc.) even if we have differences of opinion and disagreement in small matters. We should remain one and united. ✊️☝️
Here is a very very practical and simple way to get guidance to the Way towards Allah & Rasool. Recite Solawaat upon Sayyiduna wa Nabiyyuna Rasoolillah, as much as possible, wholeheartedly, full of love towards Allah & Rasoolullah, every time all the time. Insyaa Allah, May Allah guide us all.
We mustn't divide into any sects muslim should be in unity and to prove here are some quran verse Surah Al-Imran (3:103): "And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. "Surah Al-An'am (6:159): "Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah; then He will inform them about what they used to do."

Actually a lot of times i wondered something in my mind if something was halal or not without telling anyone and when i went to the mosque i heard the sheikh talking about the same thing i wondered telling its haram without even asking
Out of 73 sects of Islam, I met many and I found every one is sincere in their beliefs and every one seeks guidance from Allah to be on the right path, however still they consider one another misguided or in the wrong path! it seems, Allah does not care!

Everybody says they are muslims and they follow Quran and sunnah. Even shia qadiyani ahmadi etc say they are muslims. How do you distinguish who is actually on right path. What youn mentioned from stories of surah alkahf is story from the past mentioned by Allah as a lesson by not as a guidance. the guidance already be given by the last prophet Muhammad through Quran and Sunnah. So better don't take that aayah as a sample of Guidance to say that guidance is individual responsibilities that he/she should ask from Allah. Guidance as I said already been given to us, that is Quran and sunnah.

First verse of Quran Purpose of life is there You are sent to this world to know Allah love Allah Follow Commands of Allah Believe Allah is the only God worthy of worship. This hadith of 73 sects is zaeef contradicts with Quran. Imaan and good deeds are basic necessities of janath and success hereafter not the group sect to which you belong.

The save sect are those who follow the quran the sunnah and the 4 caliphate after Muhammad ﷺ (abu bakr, umar, uthman, ali) we take what they practice. This is the way of the salaf. The save sect are those who are correct in aqeedah!

The Absolute Unity of the entire Ummah The sectarian disunity and chaos in and of the Ummah has been riling me intensely for a long time. I've been thinking of means and a process to totally unite the Ummah despite the faith based sectarian divisions and differences - by a process of respecting the sectarian divisions and differences. Not bad mouthing or ridiculing or being violent to each other and without being judgemental or the need to accept each other’s dividing differences by any of the sects of the differences of the other sect/ sects The maturity and scholarship of the US imams in the networked masjids and US based Islamic scholars and thinkers, gives me the hope of initiating and starting a movement to the exalted aim of achieving total unity of Ummah eventually Insha Allah - sooner than later. Allahu Akbar I have my own humble and insignificant thinking articulated here as my input towards the exalted goal and sincerely hope by Allah's grace and help InshaAllah as it's metaphorically said a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single small step. It's my humble supplication and hope it is of every muslim too to Allah swt to inspire and guide us towards the goal - InshaAllah The ENTIRE AND THE ABSOLUTE UNITY of the ENTIRE UMMAH - The great need of NOW than BEFORE Is it not? -- Islam is all about making the life of ordinary Muslims attractive enough to create a want, a longing and strong desire in others to be like them by the strength of their character, ethics, being just in justice, rule of law and many other universally accepted as best in human conduct embodied in the character and the last sermon of our dear prophet Muhammad SAS - uniting every person in the Ummah as just Muslims - not Sunnis, Shia and many more we unfortunately are today Why then have we so many and vast majority of Muslims divided themselves into "sects" detesting each other and calling each other kafireen - bad mouthing and violent to each other that appears to make mockery of Islam as if Islam itself is their enemy and yet professing to be soaking deep in it in a way their own brand of Islam is far superior to any of the other's Can we START A MOVEMENT for all the sects bad mouthing each other and keeping a vast amount of distance between themselves and vitriolic and violent to each other, to come to common terms between all of them - accepting nothing of the the other sect's differences but respecting their diverse viewpoints and differences - United under one single banner of SHAHADA and the other common 4 pillars - respecting , though not accepting each other's faith based differences - uniting every sect under the one single banner - THE UBIQUITOUS SHAHADA - ASHHADU ANLLAILAHA ILLALLAH. UNITING 2 BILLION FAITHFULS UNDER ONE SINGLE BANNER KEEPING ASIDE THE DIFFERENCES WITHOUT ACCEPTING THEM - NOT CREATING ENMITY AND CONFLICTS - BUT RESPECTING THEM. The Quranic offer to the unbelievers of coming to common terms between them and us appears to be in extreme urgency to apply to us Muslims more now than before, while continuing the Islamic invite to others as well. Kindly spread this message to all the masjids, scholars thinkers and Muslim political heads in the US and throughout the world

Islam is the religion of peace and harmony between not just in the ummah but the rest of humanity as well - not of creating divisions and strife mischief between people and communities. Any Muslim bad mouthing and vitriolic and calls for violence between Muslim brothers just because his belief system doesn’t match his is the agent of Iblis. The time is for unity not division and detesting or hate Allah swt is the ultimate judge in deciding whose belief system is acceptable. It’s none of our business. Dua is the most important i agree as the poeple of cave did but I thought he would say what the prophet said regarding guidance or what allah said in his quran but he neither quoted the methodology of guidance from both. Read Quran 2:137 and 4:115 and tell me who were the believers when these two verses were revealed aren't these the companions of the prophet. And in the hadeeth of 73 sects the pprophet clearly says who is the saved sect. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also described them in the following terms: “My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.” This is mentioned in the hadeeth of ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Amr which was recorded and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2641). It was also classed as hasan by al-‘Iraaqi in Ahkaam al-Quran (3/432), al-‘Iraaqi in Takhreej al-Ihya’ (3/284) and al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
قُل لَّا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ Say, I'm not asking any reward from you(for having brought to you Islam) except to be compassionate to My Near Ones (Family) He who ignores this aayat is lost, for he's far from the Leaders of the youth of Jannat & the Lady of Jannat! ( إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ )يقول تعالى ذكره: إن الذين آمنوا بالله ورسوله محمد, وعبدوا الله مخلصين له الدين حنفاء, وأقاموا الصلاة, وآتوا الزكاة, وأطاعوا الله فيما أمر ونهى ( أُولَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ ) يقول: من فعل ذلك من الناس فهم خير البرية. وقد: حدثنا ابن حميد, قال: ثنا عيسى بن فرقد, عن أبي الجارود, عن محمد بن عليّ( أُولَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ ) فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أنْتَ يا عَلي وَشِيعَتُكَ". There are a great many narrations quoted by famous Sunnite and Shi'ite sources in which the verse: “...they are the best of all creatures" is rendered to mean Hazrat Ali (as) and his followers. Hakim Haskani Neyshaburi, one of the famous Sunnite scholars, in the fifth century A.H., has cited some narrations with different references whose number is more than twenty in his well-known book Shawahid-ut-Tanzil. The following are some examples: 1. Ibn-Abbas says that when the verse: "Surely those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creatures" was revealed, the holy Prophet (S) told Hazrat Ali (as): "It is you and your followers who will come on the Day of Reckoning when you and your followers are well-pleased (yourselves) and well-pleasing Him and your enemy will come angrily pushed (into Hell)”.3 2. Abu Barazah has narrated a tradition from the Prophet (S) who recited the verse and said: “They are you and your followers. O' Ali! The appointment for you and me is (beside) the Pool of Abundance"4 ('Haud' is the pool of 'Kawthar'). 3. Jabir-ibn-'Abdillah-Ansari narrates in another tradition that they were sitting with the holy Prophet (S) in the Sacred House when Ali (as) came to them. As soon as the Prophet (S) saw him, he said: "My brother is coming to you". Then, he turned toward the Ka'ba and said: "By the Lord of this Structure! Surely this man and his followers will be triumphant on the Day of Judgement". Then, he addressed them and added: "By Allah! Truly he was formost to all of you in believing in Allah; and among you all he is the most correct in obeying Allah; the most faithful in fulfilling the covenant of Allah; the hardest to the decree of Allah, the best distributor of the (treasury) in equality, the justest to the citizen and the most important in position with Allah". Jabir said it was then that Allah sent down the verse: "Surely those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creatures", and from then on whenever Ali came, the Helpers of the Prophet (S) would say: “The best of all creatures next to the Messenger of Allah came".5 The descent of this verse, in Mecca, does not contrast with the idea that the Surah is Medinan, because it might have been revealed, again, there. Further, the descent of this verse might have happened on one of the holy Prophet's trips from Medina to Mecca, in particular that the reporter of the narration is 'Jabir-ibn-'Abdillah-Ansari' who joined the Prophet (S) in Medina. Then, terming these kinds of verses 'Medinan' is not improbable. Some of these traditions are cited by 'Ibn-Hijr' in 'Sawa'iq' and some others by 'Muhammad Shablanji' in 'Nur-ul-Absar'. 6 A great part of the last narration is narrated from Ibn- 'Asakir, from Jabir-ibn-'Abdillah by Jalal-id-Din-Suyuti in Durr-ul-Manthur. 4. It is narrated from Ibn-'Abbas in Durr-ul-Manthur that when the verse. “Surely those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creature." was revealed the holy Prophet (S) told Ali: "It is you and your followers who, on the Day of Reckoning are well-pleased (yourselves) and well-pleasing (Him).”7 5. In another tradition, the above mentioned person narrates from Ibn-Marduyah from Hazrat Ali (as) that the Prophet (S) had told him (Ali): "Have you not heard the word of Allah: 'Surely those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creature'? You and your followers are those and the appointment place of mine and yours will be at the Pool of Abundance'. When I come for the account of nations you will be invited in the case that your foreheads are white (to be known)”.8 Many other Sunnite scholars have also cited the same meaning in their works including: Khatib Kharazmi in 'Manaqib', Abu-Na'im Isfahani in' Kifayat -ul -Khisam', 'Allamah Tabari in his famous commentary, Tabari, Ibn- Shabbaq Maliki in 'Fusul-ul-Muhimmah', Allamah Shoukani in' Fath-ul-Qadir', Shaykh Sulayman Qanduzi in 'Yanabi' -ul- Mawwadah', Alusi in' Ruh -ul -Ma'ani', and some others.
This is a never-ending debate. -- Why saying only muslim is not enough and u need sect.? Most sects mentions that they follow quran & sunnah, but there is a catch. --There are some sects who do disrespect ahle-bait, khulfa, sahaba and wali-allah. -- Some sects are trying to modernize islam. -- some sects believe only in Quran, not hadith. -- some sects believe only quran & bukhari, and they reject rest of hadith books. -- some sects reject sufism. -- And there are even some hidden sects as well, for them imam mahdi has arrived and they are growing silently. --And there are lot more in line. -- I believe in ahle sunnat wal jamat sect. -- Its ok, one may disagee with my sect, but i still suggest them to have deep faith in Allah swt, follow quran, sunnah, and should have deep respect for Prophet (Pbuh), ahle-bait, khulfa, sahaba, wali-allah and follow the traditional way of islam as much as possible.
So naive people are, the hadith explicitly mention THE PEOPLE OF SUNNAH AND MAJORITY. The group which is Sunni and in the majority among the Ummah is the correct path that is the 4 schools of thought under the Sunni creed.
There is no major difference in belief between the different versions of Islam, the system might be different but I am unsure why it is a big deal for him or what Sheikh is trying to prove here

What if the 1 "sect" out of 73 sects are those who don't follow any sects and they're the ones who will enter paradise bc they practice everything sahabas did.
The irony is the Christian’s say the same thing and believe Allah guided them to Christianity. Yes we ask Allah for guidance but we also look at the evidences and proofs and learn from authentic sources. I’m sure the grave worshipper believes Allah guided him to worship graves. We have to be realistic as Allah tells us to be. Authentic proof and ask guidance from Allah

If you attach yourself to them, you will not go astray after me. One of them is greater than the other. (One is) the book of Allah, (Wich is) a firm rope from the heaven to the earth, and (Secondly) my progeny, My ahlul Bayt. They shall not seperate with each other until they reach me at the pool. Muslims won't be selected in groups to be sent to Paradise/Hell.. according to the Qur'an there is a Scale for that, everyone will be judged and whoever's good deeds are heavier will go to Jannah (which could be a person from any sect as long as he had Imaan and did good deeds) - while those who had more bad deeds (and if not forgiven by Allah) then even if he from that "Lucky Sect" is bound to go to Hell because of the rules of Allah (swt). It was also classed as hasan by al-‘Iraaqi in Ahkaam al-Quran (3/432), al-‘Iraaqi in Takhreej al-Ihya’ (3/284) and al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.

Very vague, inadequate and contradictory speech. People want guidance but not sure where to take it from is the matter in question. You need to gain the correct foundational knowledge of quran and sunnah as understood by the sahabas who are the benchmark to determine whether your belief and practices is the true islam and build on that from sources that can be traced back to the prophet and sahabas. Only then you will be able to distinguish the correct paths of knowledge from the various different paths.

We've been saying this for over 30 years and with so much more content and context, but because we weren't famous like Michael Jordan or these other shuyukh and it threatened the status quo, we were blacklisted and looked down upon. Easier said than done when people say don't follow a sect, just be a Muslim. Even when they say this they are following a certain sect. Alhamdolillah Quran is unchanged however Sunnah has been changed and narrated by different people who some find authentic and some don't and that's where sects come from. For me, the best sect is that comes from the Prophet's family tree which would be the Ehlul Bait.

Out of 73 sects of Islam, I met many and I found every one is sincere in their beliefs and every one seeks guidance from Allah to be on the right path, however still they consider one another misguided or in the wrong path! it seems, Allah does not care!

Everybody says they are muslims and they follow Quran and sunnah. Even shia qadiyani ahmadi etc say they are muslims. How do you distinguish who is actually on right path. What youn mentioned from stories of surah alkahf is story from the past mentioned by Allah as a lesson by not as a guidance. the guidance already be given by the last prophet Muhammad through Quran and Sunnah. So better don't take that aayah as a sample of Guidance to say that guidance is individual responsibilities that he/she should ask from Allah. Guidance as I said already been given to us, that is Quran and sunnah.

This hadith of 73 sects is zaeef contradicts with Quran.
Imaan and good deeds are basic necessities of janath and success hereafter not the group sect to which you belong.

The save sect are those who follow the quran the sunnah and the 4 caliphate after Muhammad ﷺ (abu bakr, umar, uthman, ali) we take what they practice. This is the way of the salaf. The save sect are those who are correct in aqeedah!
“I swear by the One Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, my nation will split into seventy-three sects, one of which will be in Paradise and seventy-two in Hell.” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah, who are they?” He said: “The main body.” (Sunan ibn majah)

The Absolute Unity of the entire Ummah
The sectarian disunity and chaos in and of the Ummah has been riling me intensely for a long time.
I've been thinking of means and a process to totally unite the Ummah despite the faith based sectarian divisions and differences - by a process of respecting the sectarian divisions and differences. Not bad mouthing or ridiculing or being violent to each other and without being judgemental or the need to accept each other’s dividing differences by any of the sects of the differences of the other sect/ sects
The maturity and scholarship of the US imams in the networked masjids and US based Islamic scholars and thinkers, gives me the hope of initiating and starting a movement to the exalted aim of achieving total unity of Ummah eventually Insha Allah - sooner than later. Allahu Akbar
I have my own humble and insignificant thinking articulated here as my input towards the exalted goal and sincerely hope by Allah's grace and help InshaAllah as it's metaphorically said a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single small step.

Can we START A MOVEMENT for all the sects bad mouthing each other and keeping a vast amount of distance between themselves and vitriolic and violent to each other, to come to common terms between all of them - accepting nothing of the the other sect's differences but respecting their diverse viewpoints and differences - United under one single banner of SHAHADA and the other common 4 pillars - respecting , though not accepting each other's faith based differences - uniting every sect under the one single banner - THE UBIQUITOUS SHAHADA - ASHHADU ANLLAILAHA ILLALLAH.
UNITING 2 BILLION FAITHFULS UNDER ONE SINGLE BANNER KEEPING ASIDE THE DIFFERENCES WITHOUT ACCEPTING THEM - NOT CREATING ENMITY AND CONFLICTS - BUT RESPECTING THEM.
The Quranic offer to the unbelievers of coming to common terms between them and us appears to be in extreme urgency to apply to us Muslims more now than before, while continuing the Islamic invite to others as well.

I thought he would say what the prophet said regarding guidance or what allah said in his quran but he neither quoted the methodology of guidance from both.
Read Quran 2:137 and 4:115 and tell me who were the believers when these two verses were revealed aren't these the companions of the prophet. And in the hadeeth of 73 sects the pprophet clearly says who is the saved sect.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also described them in the following terms: “My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.” This is mentioned in the hadeeth of ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Amr which was recorded and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi (2641). It was also classed as hasan by al-‘Iraaqi in Ahkaam al-Quran (3/432), al-‘Iraaqi in Takhreej al-Ihya’ (3/284) and al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
قُل لَّا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ
Say, I'm not asking any reward from you(for having brought to you Islam) except to be compassionate to My Near Ones (Family)
He who ignores this aayat is lost, for he's far from the Leaders of the youth of Jannat & the Lady of Jannat!
( إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ )يقول تعالى ذكره: إن الذين آمنوا بالله ورسوله محمد, وعبدوا الله مخلصين له الدين حنفاء, وأقاموا الصلاة, وآتوا الزكاة, وأطاعوا الله فيما أمر ونهى ( أُولَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ ) يقول: من فعل ذلك من الناس فهم خير البرية.
وقد: حدثنا ابن حميد, قال: ثنا عيسى بن فرقد, عن أبي الجارود, عن محمد بن عليّ( أُولَئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ ) فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أنْتَ يا عَلي وَشِيعَتُكَ".
There are a great many narrations quoted by famous Sunnite and Shi'ite sources in which the verse:
“...they are the best of all creatures"
is rendered to mean Hazrat Ali (as) and his followers.
Hakim Haskani Neyshaburi, one of the famous Sunnite scholars, in the fifth century A.H., has cited some narrations with different references whose number is more than twenty in his well-known book Shawahid-ut-Tanzil.
The following are some examples:
1. Ibn-Abbas says that when the verse:
"Surely those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creatures"
was revealed, the holy Prophet (S) told Hazrat Ali (as):
"It is you and your followers who will come on the Day of Reckoning when you and your followers are well-pleased (yourselves) and well-pleasing Him and your enemy will come angrily pushed (into Hell)”.3
2. Abu Barazah has narrated a tradition from the Prophet (S) who recited the verse and said:
“They are you and your followers. O' Ali! The appointment for you and me is (beside) the Pool of Abundance"4
('Haud' is the pool of 'Kawthar').
3. Jabir-ibn-'Abdillah-Ansari narrates in another tradition that they were sitting with the holy Prophet (S) in the Sacred House when Ali (as) came to them.
As soon as the Prophet (S) saw him, he said:
"My brother is coming to you".
Then, he turned toward the Ka'ba and said:
"By the Lord of this Structure! Surely this man and his followers will be triumphant on the Day of Judgement".
Then, he addressed them and added:
"By Allah! Truly he was formost to all of you in believing in Allah; and among you all he is the most correct in obeying Allah; the most faithful in fulfilling the covenant of Allah; the hardest to the decree of Allah, the best distributor of the (treasury) in equality, the justest to the citizen and the most important in position with Allah".
Jabir said it was then that Allah sent down the verse:
"Surely those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creatures",
and from then on whenever Ali came, the Helpers of the Prophet (S) would say:
“The best of all creatures next to the Messenger of Allah came".5
The descent of this verse, in Mecca, does not contrast with the idea that the Surah is Medinan, because it might have been revealed, again, there. Further, the descent of this verse might have happened on one of the holy Prophet's trips from Medina to Mecca, in particular that the reporter of the narration is 'Jabir-ibn-'Abdillah-Ansari' who joined the Prophet (S) in Medina. Then, terming these kinds of verses 'Medinan' is not improbable.
Some of these traditions are cited by 'Ibn-Hijr' in 'Sawa'iq' and some others by 'Muhammad Shablanji' in 'Nur-ul-Absar'. 6
A great part of the last narration is narrated from Ibn- 'Asakir, from Jabir-ibn-'Abdillah by Jalal-id-Din-Suyuti in Durr-ul-Manthur.
4. It is narrated from Ibn-'Abbas in Durr-ul-Manthur that when the verse.
“Surely those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creature."
was revealed the holy Prophet (S) told Ali:
"It is you and your followers who, on the Day of Reckoning are well-pleased (yourselves) and well-pleasing (Him).”7
5. In another tradition, the above mentioned person narrates from Ibn-Marduyah from Hazrat Ali (as) that the Prophet (S) had told him (Ali):
"Have you not heard the word of Allah:
'Surely those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creature'?
You and your followers are those and the appointment place of mine and yours will be at the Pool of Abundance'. When I come for the account of nations you will be invited in the case that your foreheads are white (to be known)”.8
Many other Sunnite scholars have also cited the same meaning in their works including: Khatib Kharazmi in 'Manaqib', Abu-Na'im Isfahani in' Kifayat -ul -Khisam', 'Allamah Tabari in his famous commentary, Tabari, Ibn- Shabbaq Maliki in 'Fusul-ul-Muhimmah', Allamah Shoukani in' Fath-ul-Qadir', Shaykh Sulayman Qanduzi in 'Yanabi' -ul- Mawwadah', Alusi in' Ruh -ul -Ma'ani', and some others.
Note: It doesn't mean that one may not strive to seek knowledge.
Guidance is only for the righteous. Al Quran.

Most sects mentions that they follow quran & sunnah, but there is a catch.
--There are some sects who do disrespect ahle-bait, khulfa, sahaba and wali-allah.
-- Some sects are trying to modernize islam.
-- some sects believe only in Quran, not hadith.
-- some sects believe only quran & bukhari, and they reject rest of hadith books.
-- some sects reject sufism.
-- And there are even some hidden sects as well, for them imam mahdi has arrived and they are growing silently.

-- I believe in ahle sunnat wal jamat sect.
-- Its ok, one may disagee with my sect, but i still suggest them to have deep faith in Allah swt, follow quran, sunnah, and should have deep respect for Prophet (Pbuh), ahle-bait, khulfa, sahaba, wali-allah and follow the traditional way of islam as much as possible.
So naive people are, the hadith explicitly mention THE PEOPLE OF SUNNAH AND MAJORITY.
The group which is Sunni and in the majority among the Ummah is the correct path that is the 4 schools of thought under the Sunni creed.
There is no major difference in belief between the different versions of Islam, the system might be different but I am unsure why it is a big deal for him or what Sheikh is trying to prove here

The irony is the Christian’s say the same thing and believe Allah guided them to Christianity. Yes we ask Allah for guidance but we also look at the evidences and proofs and learn from authentic sources. I’m sure the grave worshipper believes Allah guided him to worship graves. Hadith Thaqalayn, Tradition of two weighty things;
Several companions have narrated and especially the six authentic books of traditions (Sahih Sitta) Including Bukhari and Moslem, Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Malik Ibn Anas have recorded this tradition and certified the authenticity of this hadith. Here we mention the text of this hadith, omitting the chain of narrators,
Holy Prophet (s) Said;
انی تارک فیکم الثقلین ان تمسکتم بهما لن تضلوا بعدی احد هما اعظم من الاخر کتاب الله حبل ممدود من السما الی الارض و عترتی اهل بیتی لن یتفرقا حتی یردا علی الحوض فانظر کیف تخلفونی فیهما
"Certainly i leave among you two heavy things. If you attach yourself to them, you will not go astray after me. One of them is greater than the other. (One is) the book of Allah, (Wich is) a firm rope from the heaven to the earth, and (Secondly) my progeny, My ahlul Bayt. They shall not seperate with each other until they reach me at the pool. Then be careful how you deal with them.
This happened at the day of AL QADEER,And by the order from ALLAH ,he chose Ali Ibn Abitalib(AS) as our first religious leader from Allah!

Think Islam, let this brother think again. 73 sects in Islam is true but only one is Muslims. It’s the Book of Allah SWT is the true guidance. This one ayah struck me like a ton of bricks.
3: 138. This (the Qur’an) is a plain statement for mankind, a guidance and instruction to those who are Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V.2:2).
The two words: Guidance and Instruction for Al Muttaqun made my head spin.
And immediately after the Guidance, Allah SWT gives us a very important Instruction.
3: 139 So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers (Al Muttaqun).
So this brother’s lecture can confuse many Muslims. He and Omar Soleman are not real scholars but they try to impress the audience with fancy speeches. May Allah SWT guide all mankind through His Book, Aameen. As Allah says at the beginning of the the Book:
2: 2. This is the Book (the Qur’an), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].
I don't think lslam has sects. All are based on the holly Quran. But if you find something confussing then you need to seek the answer in the Quran. Everything is there.

Nope, it 100% goes against the Qur'an. Especially the part where 1 goes to Jannah and 72 goes to Hell. Muslims won't be selected in groups to be sent to Paradise/Hell.. according to the Qur'an there is a Scale for that, everyone will be judged and whoever's good deeds are heavier will go to Jannah (which could be a person from any sect as long as he had Imaan and did good deeds) - while those who had more bad deeds (and if not forgiven by Allah) then even if he from that "Lucky Sect" is bound to go to Hell because of the rules of Allah (swt).
You cannot impose laws that are NOT present in Allah's Book. In other words, a law cannot contradict the law defined in the Qur'an... that's how I know the Hadith is unauthentic
