    Hello hey can a headgasket problem could leak oil also on 2012 azera hyundai

    • @fixergood
      @fixergood  Před rokem +1

      a head gasket can leak oil to the outside but it is way more rare because there not a whole lot of oil pressure to make it leak. if you have a oil leak from that area it's more likely a valve cover gasket pr sensor gasket. hope this helps besure to like and subscribe for more tips and tricks.

    Where can I find the timing chain diagram as I am currently rebuilding this engine. Great video,just wish you had a part 3 but after reading the comments I see you went with a used engine do to the stripping out the threads.

      Ya it was more cost effective for me just to due a used engine. I have a book that shows alot of timing chain diagrams maybe you could find something on amazon. Thanks for watchin apreciate ut. Besure to like and subscribe for more helpful tips and trcks.

      @@fixergood same engine but different scenario, timing chain broke but minimal damage (only a couple of scratches on cylinder 1)... I stripped the last head bolt thread while torqueing, decided to try helicoils, and did all 8 bolts. Going to try the new bolts soon to see if the helicoils (and block) can handle the torque. If not, I will probably be in the same boat as you and try another engine... wish me luck! LOL! and thanks for the vids!

    • @fixergood
      @fixergood  Před 2 lety +1

      I've been told you can, by someone on this comment section. I took it out this way because it's what the manufacture recommended at the time , it may be easier to leave it in place we ended up replacing the engine because the headbolts threads kept pulling when we torqued them down.

    hi,i have the same engine same problem,how long does it takes for changing head gaskets?

    • @fixergood
      @fixergood  Před 4 lety +3

      It's a long hibs like 20 hours something like that. If you do atempt do it, the threads for the head bolt may not hold the final torque sequence. That was my issue I tried to find a new block with no luck and ended up geting a low mileage engine

    • @fixergood
      @fixergood  Před 4 lety +1

      I'm not sure I found some of my parts kits om dnj parts they have a lot of stuff. I'm not sure about taking the heads off with out dropping the engine maybe able to be done but in my experience it was easier to drop it out the bottom to get the chains and cover off.

    How do I find part 3

    • @fixergood
      @fixergood  Před 4 lety +2

      There was going to be a part three but, after I got the heads off the and machined, I found out the threads in the block dont hold the torquing sequence and strip out pulling the threads. I bought a kit and fixed the holes only for them to do the exact same thing . I eneded up buying a new engine instead of a engine block because after market parts are hard to get because they dont make them. Thanks for watching I hope this helps besure to like and subscribe
