When I wrote this back in 2008, it was still acceptable in an "edgy" way to use the R word. And no one I knew was even talking about how the word "crazy" can be used in an ableist context. In the time since this song was completed, some of the lyrics to this song haven't aged very well and I hope not to have made anyone feel bad with the words I chose to use at the time. - Hry
DuckTales 2017 just turned this from an awesome bit of 8-bit nostalgia into the ultimate tear jerker and I was not ready for it.
I was surprised at my emotional reaction. I mean it's just a little kid's melody, right? Why should I be getting teary?

Same, I freaked out so much when I first heard it in the episode and then when Della sang it as a lullaby I started tearing up like holy shit it came out of nowhere from me. It's definitely one of my new favourite episodes. :)

The production team that brought us the 2017 Ducktales must've seen this video and said "Hold my beer" before they made Della Duck the new Crazy Duck in Space, because she decided to go into space just for adventure, despite the fact her sons had not yet been hatched.

In S2E7 of Ducktales we finally got the answer on how they are alive in space without a suit ^^ (fantastic usage of the moon theme in the episode)
The game remake did that years ago. The show just made Oxychew canon.

I wonder why disney hasn't made a channel that's like Nickelodeon or boomerang with all the old shows... I guess we just have to cherish the available things we have now
The problem is even with so many channels there is a high capital investment required to set up a new channel and you have to negotiate with the cable service providers to give up bandwidth for it.
What's wired to me is that they haven't decided to distribute this to netflix or hulu, you could get the whole Disney afternoon, Chip and Dales, Alladin, Duck Tales, Tale Spin, Darkwing etc. It might be difficult because the old residuals contracts obviously had no provisions for internet videos, and would require new negotiations. Might be more work than worth doing. Bummer for us

It's funny, when I was a kid, I loved the moon theme and would only play the moon level just so I could listen to it. When the NES was put aside for the Super Nintendo, I didn't hear this song again for like, twenty-five years. So glad to know so many others really liked this theme as well. The moment I knew it was itunes, I bought it.

Actually, there's an explanation for breathing in space in the newer ducktales remastered. Scrooge developed a special thing maybe gum I don't know that lets him breath in space without a helmet.

Quite frankly, I think that, as amusing as the lyrics are, the expressions Brentalfloss uses makes this complete.
When this video came out I was about 14, now it's just about 11 years later and this is giving me some serious nostalgia. Also I used to think Brentalfloss looked old back then and now all I can think of is how fucking young he looks!
