I like the subtle detail that when doing their push ups, Jordan holds back at first because he wants to try to avoid embarrassing Jonathan even though he still did more push ups. It wasn't by much because Jordan knows Jonathan told him he actually felt jealous about his powers and wanted to make Jonathan still feel a little special by being close in terms of matching his powers. It shows that as much as he wants to master his powers, Jordan is still aware of how not having any effects Jonathan and is considerate about his feelings and insecurities, plus the love he has for his brother. On 1:21 after Sam tells him that it wasn't a competition between the brothers, Jordan admits that he "COULD'VE" done better meaning he actually was holding back and that although Sam knew why Jordan was restraining himself, that it was for the wrong reasons and that if he wanted to truly gain better control of his powers than he needed to go all out. I just wish Jonathan didn't end up thinking that Jordan was pitying him and feel the need to take x-kryptonite to beat Jordan in a fight, let alone so aggressively.
I would have liked an episode of just training, I mean Jordan is punching the bags and gets a little bit faster and Sam is like hold up, is your Super Speed coming out. Alright outside time to see how far you can run in 10 minutes and don't even try to race a train.
I would've loved to see that. In 2x08 Jordan shows that he gained his super speed out of nowhere offscreen and used it to save Jonathan and Candice from Mickey. I wondered when exactly Jordan gained his super speed offscreen and how he incorporated it into his training.
The thing that got on my nerves about the training was that yes, we understand that Jordan needs to better control his powers, but Jonathan also needs to be trained as well. Even though Jonathan is quote on quote human and can still get hurt like anybody else, he is also half Kryptonian. They both need to know how to protect themselves and even if they have to train differently and possibly even on different days, and that's what needs to be done, but they still need training both boys do.
