Clearly, several are NOT meant to be used as bicycles - the (horrible) Damien Hirst & 2 or 3 others are art - justifiably so because even forms of some of the simplest bikes are beautiful. The Lambo Impec in gold was purchased and used for the intended purpose - art. The luxury fashion brands are the same. The functional bikes are not so costly for what you recieve.

We use mountain bikes, Because RB (Road bike/Racer bike) Was too expensive
First, SRAM is pronounced as one syllable and not "s-ram".
Second, it's a saddle, not a chair.
Third, those super expensive "luxury" bikes don't even have good components on them (and one of them didn't even have brakes).
Fourth, the Diamondback Andean came out before the Cervelo P5X, and costs just as much, but you chose to ignore it.
And Fifth, I didn't even think it was possible to mispronounce "Audi", but here we are (also, Audi and Lamborghini are both owned by Volkswagen, so technically calling them different companies is incorrect in the context in which you used it).
So basically what I'm saying is that you really should fact check these things before making a list about them.

Got my mountain bike at Goodwill for 50, and a used, excellent condition Specialized Allez (20 speed caliper shifting) for 700, and I am a happy, happy camper. They ride great, thank you very much, but I wouldn't say no to some Gucci saddlebags -- for my mountain bike, of course.

The Cervelo, is basically the Lotus/Corima bike of the 90’s reimagined and updated. Also, in the 90’s Trek made “Y” framed bikes. In 2009, I purchased a fully custom (geometry and tubing sizes) Parlee Z1 (their flagship at the time), full Campy Super Record 11 speed with 3 cassettes, SRM power meter, 2 Lightweight wheel sets, narrow rim and medium deep rim, ran FMB tubulars with the silk casing, and that bike was in the $20k’s. The wheel sets alone were $13,000.00.
I can understand road and MTB bikes being expensive, but I'd never pay for those luxury brand bikes.
Cervelo, Trek, Specialized.. super-light, carbon frame, electronic shifters and then a brown bike with leather bags!!

In my club, we do have fancy bikes easily over 10k but we ride them in groups and we do fast one on public road tool. Safe though as we avoid busy roads and busy times.
