Mercury 1150 150hp timing

Here is a timing video on a Mercury 1150 150hp. I lined up the red dots on the flywheel with the #1 cylinder and adjusted the timing pointer. Allot these Mercury's are slightly different on the timing.

You have the dial indicator too far in on the holder bracket. I have the same dial and I can get 11 rotation.
Anyways I’m doing mine the same way as you I line the 3 dots with center of distributor shaft then I slide on the belt on distributor gear. Then distributor gear has an arrow and I point the arrow to the center of the crank shaft. And I look at the pointer and. It can be set at 0 or 5deg when I slid it around. But it still won’t start. I notice when it attempts to fire and start it changes rotation starts going counter clockwise. Not Sure why Yet. Probably still out of time.

You might have the firing order out check an make sure you have the firing order correct. Its running backwards.
