Most astrologers nowadays are either on it for just fun, money or fame.
Astrology should be treated as vidya to be learned seriously but there are very few people who study it like that.
I'm a former non-believer. Ma bhi yehi baate bola karta tha. But I was fond of subjects like Symbolism, metaphysics, epistemology. And these subjects slowly introduced me to astrology and how it works.

I admire critical thinking and liked this point of view, but my thought on Astrology/Palmistry is clear as well, It is a pseudo-science, but only because there aren't any explanation for it, but its effective to some degree, even science talk about deterministic nature of the universe.
1) Using same Astrology charts, a decent pandit can tell exact time of lunar and solar eclipse, remember this take advance degree on astrophysics to do that, hence there is surely something extremely accurate about Astrology.
2) Aryabhatta himself used Vedic Astrology and other texts to do many calculations, he took out the science behind it and gave proper explanation with Maths, We need to do same with Astrology else it will always remain a pseudo-science.
3) Does planet and moon effects human? it is not even a argument that on full moon all mental hospital goes much crazier than usual. Moon is responsible for tides , Strom and even earthquake as per some studies, its not far fetched that 70% water in human body has some effect too.
Lastly, I am Engineer by heart and love astrophysics, psychology and philosophy and I know a bit of palmistry, at the base of my index finger there is a half circle, I had a little interest in palmistry and never seen anyone else having such ring so i read a book from my father library; A famous palmist named Cheiro where i found that this ring is called "Ring of Solomon" and the book said " such people have great interests in studying various subject and occult science and its very likely that this is being read by one such person" this sent chills down my spine.

I have asked tens of well known astrologers including some so called celebrity astrologers to explain the scientific basis of astrology. None of them could explain how different planets can influence various aspects of our life. If it's their gravity or light or cosmic rays or something else - what and how they can influence individuals living in different parts of the earth. If anyone can explain before me, I am ready to accept it as a science.

That means Science has a limitation. And we cannot fit the whole existential reality into that limitation. Your experience the way you experience it is never going to be experienced by another in exact precision. Everyone will have their own unique experience of the same event at the same time and same place. Science cannot measure this. Hence it is Science whose scope is limited. And we should not try to fit everything in that limitation.

I believe i dont agree with you on this.I believe that there are a lot of your personal experiences when you made this conclusion.This is my own experience..and I have been learning Astrology on financial markets..Let me tell you a story..Good friend of mine was diagnosed with Blood cancer..from Top doctors in Delhi..Infact lot of doctors told him from top hospitals including Apollo that he is just wasting time..Being a novice astrologer myself .I consulted his horoscope with few of my gurus..I convinced him to do a Biopsy again from his throat..just becuase we didnt see any Cancer there..Infact they were fully convinced..As it turned out..the hospitals had a false positive ..What are the chances of this ?.I believe you are confused from Astrology the Science and the Astrologer who interprets it..Likewise..Medicine is a science..and the one who diagnose the same are doctors.The techniques and calculations used are extremely rigourous.Just my 2 cents..love your content.I am part of the course as well
