    Yes its worth every penny got it for home so I could watch TV and play PS 5 just took it to my sister's house 30 miles away works very well like a steam deck or a Switch didn't even feel like I was online as long as you have a decent wifi it works well.

    Got the Portal for 92 bucks 4 days ago am enjoying it so far but the experience does depend on your wifi connection.

    If you just do the double tap in the spot of the touch pad, it’ll do the function. You don’t have to wake the touch pad spot first. It’ll do it as long as you double tap the spot

    i didn't get why sony released a remote ps5 handheld versus a stand alone handheld console like the vita or switch but after using it, i completely get it. Devices like this will only get better through patches, optimization and better internet connections. i could imagine sony releasing this will simcards in the future.

    I play more remakes/remasters and sequels than before thanks to the PS Portal.

    Imo, it's not worth it. Most people have tablets/smart phones with Xbox controller/playstation controller and with those you can do exactly the same thing. Not to mention most new phones and tablets have OLED screens, the portal is just an LCD.

    It would be worth the money if it actually worked half the time.......instead we get terrible audio and lots and lots of lagging. XBOX Remote Play is better every time.

    • @anseldeangelo
      @anseldeangelo Před 7 měsíci

      Meanwhile, I got one on Christmas, and it’s been working greatly with good audio and little to no lag, so clearly you don’t have one and are just talking nonsense.

    • @FernandoMartinez-pv1id
      @FernandoMartinez-pv1id Před 7 měsíci

      @anseldeangelo "random person on the internet disagrees or has a different experience than me therefore he must be lying" cliché
      Kid do you always choke on Sony's balls this much?

    • @rundattmedia2106
      @rundattmedia2106 Před 7 měsíci

      Remember that a strong WiFi connection is needed, 5ghz router etc. it's still not worth the money though when your smartphone/tablet can do the exact same thing.

      Sorry your wifi isn't that great.... I love mine with no lag

      @rundattmedia2106 Chiaki works better with my pc but not by much. It flickers way too often. I have very fast wifi, the PS5 is wired, and I was the only one in the house. It work for 2 hours then started lagging a lot. Then the next day it lagged the entire time. Then the third day it lagged after 1 hour.

    Not worth it when every other device like this does more including your phone

    • @anseldeangelo
      @anseldeangelo Před 7 měsíci +1

      Why would I want to drain my phone battery to play games on the go when I could just use a dedicated device to do it instead? 🤔

    • @rundattmedia2106
      @rundattmedia2106 Před 7 měsíci

      I agree with that OP. Waste of money when your tablet/smartphone can do exactly the same thing, I'd understand if it was cheaper but not at that price.

    • @wensonchang6077
      @wensonchang6077 Před 7 měsíci +1

      i have to disagree. its an amazing device. sure you could use a backbone to play but this literally feels EXACTLY like playing on a home console. it's also $199. that's not very much in today's economy.

  • @JessusMr
    @JessusMr Před 7 měsíci

    This aint worth better getting a Nintendo switch that has them both way to play already

    • @rundattmedia2106
      @rundattmedia2106 Před 7 měsíci +1

      Since when did the Switch steam Playstation titles? I do agree it's not worth it though, when your smartphone/tablet can do the exact same thing.

      I can't play cyberpunk 2077 on the switch 😂

    • @joelmeza123
      @joelmeza123 Před 7 měsíci

      @rundattmedia2106 it's a better experience. It really feels like your playing your ps5.

    • @rundattmedia2106
      @rundattmedia2106 Před 7 měsíci

      @@joelmeza123 it's exactly the same with using a dual sense controller and any new tablet, even better if you have an OLED phone or tablet. As the portal is only LCD. All it does is stream from the ps5 using ps remote play. It's a cash grab from Sony.

    • @joelmeza123
      @joelmeza123 Před 6 měsíci

      @rundattmedia2106 again. it's a better EXPERIENCE. Do you own one? Have you even held one?? Bcause it's as simple as GRAB THE PORTAL AND PLAY. I don't wanna do all that extra stuff. You can do all that.

  • @raymondclark3445
    @raymondclark3445 Před 5 měsíci

    have no idea what this one guy's talking about in the comments but the portal is definitely worth it if you own one. people can't talk about it if they don't even own the PS5 portal or ever used it before just watching videos talking about it and then making an assumption that something else is better pretty much is a bunch of b******* grab the portal experience it for yourself it's worth the 200 bucks guaranteed instead of only paying your PS5 in the living room you can play in your bedroom and the backyard and the front yard and the basement in the kitchen at your neighbor's house depending on how strong your connection you can play it at Starbucks Dunkin' donuts free Wi-Fi connection McDonald's and not only that it's going to get even better in the future with more features more options and more opportunitie I'm having a great feeling about this like with everything else Sony updates think about that for a minute

    Bro I paid 10.00 a month for my Wi-Fi which means my signal isn't s*** I got this internet service when covid hit and it works perfectly fine over no lagging no skipping adios loudest as s*** either you're just discouraging people not to get it because either your Wi-Fi internet signal is like $2 a month or you don't have to piss off portal you have like call the PSR portal😂😂😂 might want to double check what you have😂😂
