The 1v1 sequence at 8:38! So much tension! These kind of moments with the crowd show how this game has mastered the art of dramatic anticipation, it's such a good game to watch

There is, but it's basically all centered around online. Combo Breaker is the first major event for this game

There needs to be more of these types of games. I find them very entertaining to watch and it helps me learn new tactics to use in Lethal League.
This was actually pretty hype, tbh.
So I just first heard of this game from watching Switcher, and now I find out it actually has a competitive aspect to it. Holy fuck

The Bandit Well it's probably because it's an easy to learn game yet it still is an amazing competitive game, definitely a GOTY for 2014 to me

From someone who's only seen casual Lethal League before these last few videos: Was it just me, or was N64 completely running shop with his Sonata?
PokerJoker811 N64 is an incredible player and if I were to give an MVP award to someone in the top 8 it would be him. Some incredible catches all around and really good reads.

You can hold up to charge while jumping. This means you can fly across the entire stage to catch your teammate's shot while charging and if you get a charged shot, it's not going to be easy to dodge. I've not seen this skill being used in this match, is it something not known yet?

Game is half timing, 25% memorizing angles, 25% being in the right spot.

It's like smash bros except you're trying to hit the other team with a launched jigglypuff.

***** The game is pretty simple but very chaotic. The goal is to knockout your opponent, you do so by hitting them with the ball while it is not their color. The ball changes to your color when you hit it and it can't knock you out while it is your color. The more the ball is hit the faster it goes. When only one player, or team, is left on the screen the speed resets, the players respawn (if they have lives left) and the ball gets set up to be served by the first player eliminated in the previous round. The different Characters all have a different angles that the ball goes when they hit with a strike aimed up or down and they all have a special strike. You get the special strike by filling your gauge, this also resets when everyone respawns, and the gauge fills by hitting the ball. You can bunt the ball to slow it down to minimal speeds, when they bunt the ball it turns purple and nobody will be knocked out by it, when you strike it again the ball goes back to the speed it was at when it was bunt and gives the person who hit it two gauge segments instead of the one you would otherwise get.

CAPSIT ™screen shake was on on purpose. the tourney info from day 1 stated that screen shake would be on, so its not that we didnt know you could turn it off, its that the tourney wanted it on.

OLYMPUS KittenPoPtArT yes, teams is rather rare as competitive is all online and 4 players connecting isn't all that smooth
