- Here's a Lunatic 1cc of Touhou 12: Undefined Fantastic Object without using any bombs, or summoning any UFOs.
I tend to do early-game not super well, and then just hope for a good stage 6. But on this run, the exact opposite happened. While the early/mid-game was really solid, silly stuff happened on the final stage. I managed to push through in the end, luckily.
No UFOs means I am not allowed to summon UFOs. Grabbing UFOs is fine. However, it's still very easy to accidentally summon an UFO, so for no-UFO you still need to actively dodge the tokens.

I dunno, honestly. Usually I cap greatest treasure, and have less trouble on the fairy storm at the end of the stage and radiant treasure gun.
It was mostly stage 3 that was lenient.

@Ross the Chihuahua 2 Vajra on Lunatic is pretty tame honestly, basically everything about it can be manipulated in some way. There are much bigger threats for survival.
King Kraken's Strike, Sinkable Vortex, Ghost Ship's Port, Greatest Treasure, Radiant Treasure Gun, Shou's 2nd non, Complete Clarification, Good Omen, and Devil's Recitation are all harder.
Shou's 3rd non has a cheese strat that isn't used in this run for some reason.
Yats has also done a perfect run since this one, czcams.com/video/xK_FQzBXus4/video.html if you haven't seen it. This one does demonstrate the 3rd non cheese strat.

So, uh, I had never seen UFO on Lunatic before, and I can see why people used to consider it the toughest thing ever back when the game was new…
Even though it’s a thousand times more difficult, must be nice not having to deal with grabbing the wrong color and resetting your counter lol
IMO still the toughest standard Touhou lunatic. lolk danmaku might be as difficult but you get 20x more resources.
