Snow is one thing, but like you touched on, there are levels to it. If you are moving to Buffalo from outside of Buffalo, then you probably want to live north of that line you drew. People outside of Buffalo have a hard time understanding lake effect and how it works. I remember in the 2014 storm (I think it was 2014). Parents had 6ft in Cheektowaga, Sister had less than a foot in Lancaster/Alden

These city boundary lines go back to the stone age. All the first ring boundary, "so called" suburbs are an extension of buffalo which kicks up "the real" city population to 890,000 people that live in the first 167 square miles of a county that is 1,008 square miles county. Kenmore has more people per square mile than the north Bronx. South Buffalo has twice as many people per square mile than the north Bronx. Too many people

Real estate is no longer a bargain in the City of Buffalo or in the suburbs. In the suburb of Williamsville for $300,000 you get a fixer-upper or tear down.
The City of Buffalo is very segregated and the roads are fair to poor. The climate like the rest of the Great Lakes is nothing special to blah. It's not the cold or occasional snow that makes the winter uncomfortable but the strong winds that blow for much of the year. The Village of Williamsville and Cheektowaga are noisy because of the close proximity to the airport. Williamsville is known for its good public schools. Summers are often humid but nothing like the Mid-Atlantic region.

The only time I’ve been to Buffalo was in the 90s when I was a kid. I went up with my grandfather who’s from there. We got stuck in a snow storm. The snow was taller than me.
Also I’m a Bills fan from NYC. The only real New York team.

That footage made the storm look not that bad. Elmwood by the 290 had waist deep snow and I am talking the middle of Elmwood. It snowed for 36 hours straight. With those higher taxes in Tonawanda you get some of the best services. The roads were cleared in 1 day after the blizzard. You will get police with in 15 minutes unless there was a big crime going on. Best trash services in the county. The only town with its own dedicated paramedics.

Public transportation is good but you cannot compare it to nyc. We are not nyc and don't want to be. You can get from point a to point b on the bus . Its good for getting you to work and home but if you want to go multiple places in a day it doesn't work. I live on the eastside but work downtown on the bus it take me an hour to get to work but in a car its 11 minutes.

I will be in Buffalo for six months working for my company.
That's why I'm following your videos with interest. They are very exciting and well done. Who knows maybe I will stay in Buffalo forever :)
    But now to my question.
Were these snowstorms in 22/23 rather an exception or do you have these snowstorms every winter in this extent ?
How big is the difference in snow mass between north and south?
I would be extremely pleased about an answer.☺
