what recording software do you use
I wanted to get a server, since 30% sounded like a good deal. However it's only working for Monthly, so basicly if I decide to go with them for a year I don't get the discount at all. That's a bit of a disappointment. Fun Video tho :)

Props to the admin for being reasonable and just telling you to stop instead of instant banning.
Even if they got banned, that wouldn't make the Admins unreasonable or not nice, server rules were clear, and they did a lot of damage with the exploit.

@@Logia_ yeah on some random community server sure but the bigger more known servers actually have competent admin team behind them. no warning bans for some exploiting just shows how amateurish the admin is and yeah how random the server is too.

I like that admin. He respected the effort that went into it and he understood that it wasnt allowed, but wasnt gonna ban them since its not really cheating at all, just kinda abusing the game's oversights
Plus there's already been patches and this has already been super publicized. Not Dirts fault facepunch is garbage at fixing this stuff. Or maybe it's intentional? 🤔
I mean it seemed like it created some good fun and chaos for the server which is fun if you ask me lol
So I guess it depends on how the admins for each server but in the intro dirt did read off "no exploiting" and this is pretty clear cut to be exploiting. It is a unintended interaction in the game that created a unbalanced situation between players.
Like I said tho up to the admin, at the very least I would recognize same as the admin that it took some effort to pull off unlike some other exploits in other games so just getting rid of the car like he did is probably a good enough deterrent because it sends the message that if they spend the time and effort to do so again the admin who will likely be keeping a closer eye on the area will just delete it again and probably ban them that time.
I'm not disagreeing with the outcome here, I just want to try to make clear that they did in fact break the rules of the server and would have no right to complain if the admin did in fact ban them on the spot.

i would hardly call that an exploit. the only exploit technically is the turret shooting through the car but no admin would say shit if someone shot through it at junkyard. Also how is it okay to move the crates but youre not allowed to use a turret even with the car gone? that is a made up rule on the spot and he clearly didnt think that one through. If anything the crates would have to be removed but they cant touch your turret as that isnt breaking any rules. That admin was dumb as f*ck

Chad admin. Prop cars covering turrets provide an unfair advantage, but moving crates is fair game: you got there first and used them to bait players. You gained a fair advantage, no different than camping on monuments and wait for loot donors. Not all advantages are unfair advantages, and the admin saw that. Bravo.
Must have took Dirtrider by surprise too, since he gave the admin an explanation about the crates even though admin was more worried about the invincible turrets lol

Rust should add a feature where you can dig down the floor like in Minecraft and you can build an underground base that would not be visible. Only the top 2x2 for example. Then to prevent people from raiding from the underground you could add some limit to where people can dig established by TC

if the phase with the cars still works, you should make a base with turrets as well, but surround it with cars from the scrap yard and put the anti-helicopters on the base, it would be an almost impossible base to raid

Tell me if this is stupid: Use the car as a trap base, lure someone into a killing floor with the car inside and theyll likely jump onto it or have it be in a place where they have to be on top of it. Then they get kicked for flyhack and you collect the loot

@@M.TTT. It may be doable in the game, but it's not intentional, so it is considered a bug. Normally I'd agree but the rules for the server say no exploiting, so regardless of whether the game lets you do it they were still exploiting a known bug. However the admins seemed nice and just removed them with a light warning instead of banning, which is good to see.
As another example there are several multiplayer FPS games where due to oversights it's possible to get out of bounds and shoot from out there through the walls and it doesn't require hacks, would you argue that because it's possible to do so that people who abuse that bug shouldn't be banned?
For being honest bugs in the game that you can take advantage of, while it may be distasteful, it's on the developers to remove those bugs. There shouldn't be a ban for using it. Cheats and hacks definitely ban

if you put I think 2 layers of chain-link fences on front of the turrets, the turrets can shoot out, but there is no way of shooting the turrets, because they have some kind of bonus penetration imbued in them
so, unless they come with rockets or explosive, they shouldn't be able to shoot the turrets, and then slap carpets into them, I don't know if you can put them into the fences or even if they will get destroyed in one hit, but if they last a few dozen shots, then you also have a way to hide the turrets

you can fit rowboats and probably snowmobiles inside scrap helis and drop them out by tilting up, dont know how you could use that tho, maybe just have a laugh and drop them on people's roofs or in outpost and watch their reaction

I don't understand this logic. In bushes and trees they're hidden, but they're still reachable, you can still destroy them once you know they're there. The cars having been moved from an area they're not intended to leave, they aren't destroyable, so you can't really get to the turret to destroy it. That is the crux of the reasoning.
