  • "Da Baby" NCLEX Review Placenta: Previa & Abruptio with ReMarNurse.com
Study for NCLEX twice a week every Monday & Wednesday with Professor Regina and the ReMar Nurses (Subscribe).
The placenta is an organ that grows inside the uterus during pregnancy. It functions to give the unborn child nutrition and oxygen as well as to remove waste. The umbilical cord links the placenta to the baby. In addition, the placenta creates estrogen and progesterone, two hormones necessary during pregnancy.
We will also discuss common placental abnormalities, such as placenta previa and placental abruption, and their potential implications for both the mother and the baby. Understanding these conditions is essential for nursing students and NCLEX preparation, as they often appear in exam questions and require prompt recognition and intervention.
