Lid for my Inflatable Hot Tub

  • Keep that precious heat inside the hot tub!
    If you guys have any tips on how I can make the foam weather proof, mainly UV protection, let me know in the comments.

      Im thinking about wrapping the sides with insulated foil as well and trying to figure out best route to insulate the box

    What did you use to attach the inner circle of foam to the main circle? Also why not put the foam lid on first and then put cover over that? Thx for the great vid!

      I’d recommend spray foam. Many glues can dissolve the foam board

    How did it fare in the rain? any dipping or pooling of rainwater?

      Thanks! I was lucky enough to have a roof over this but the sun does fade the foam after a year

    Could you add a link where you got the foam from please? Only finding 25mm or 50mm

      I got it at Bunnings but any size will work.

    Did you ever test it to see how much the temp dropped with and without the lid?

      after being unpowered for 12 hours, with the lid it stayed 2 degrees C warmer than without the lid., so its definitly worth it.
