You'd actually be surprised how many other countries military leaders are terrified at the concept of the Danish Hjemmeværn, as funny as that sounds.
Especially this US general, who were explained the concept. And he wanted to know, where they'd meet up and gather their equipment, but as most of them keep their Equipment at home, he realized that means that if the Hjemmeværn is called into Combat Action for Defending Denmark, the invading army could potentially be surrounded no matter where they decided to make landfall. It's basically legally weaponized civilians :)
The reality would probably look very different though, due to our Hjemmeværn lacking actual combat experience. But in concept, we are rather well defended.
