This is the Mackie DRM18S subwoofer. It is really powerful and loud. We love it and we know that anyone in the Live Sound space will love these and other DRM products.
@@danielhernandez1360 mackie goes lower. The EKX goes down to 48hz and the mackie goes to 38hz. These numbers are based on Meyer Sound SIM3 measurements and professionally calibrated SMAART measurements
I come from the original Mackie SRM (2001) school. Glad to see them finally reaching close to their original performance. Those Mackie Thumps are garbage. And that ruins your credibility. I will never buy anything from EV because they have put out so much garbage in the past. QSC has never manufactured anything that’s pure garbage.
If I was to add a second one it would squeeze the sub coverage in. I do not want that. Plus a second box would only take me up 3db. Not worth an extra $1200
The QSC KW181 is a monster so this must be impressive.

I considered the ETX series but ultimately decided on this unit. Compared it to an ETX and this one outperforms for the money
