Have you heard of or seen the glory cloud and gold dust that appeared at Bethel Church in Redding, California, in 2011? When this happened, gold dust swirled in the air and created what has been referred to as a glory cloud. This was a supernatural phenomenon that took place many times here at Bethel Church. We don't know the reason as to why it showed up and why it left.

My husband, who is much more skeptical and jaded from years of evangelical background, used to experience gold dust on his hands after playing drums during worship times at our church… different church than this but we had quite a few who used to visit and loved Bethel. We used to roll our eyes at the glory cloud chatter going around but my husband did experience this on a personal level. Amazing

My son, who was severely depressed, was writing in his prayer journal and gold glitter filled the paper as if it had been glued on. It didn’t change his depression, though, and I didn’t think it was from God because of that. It still makes no sense to me.

My life was forever changed in one of his meetings... 👋 I don't understand why people put God in a box... The fear of the lord is not what Jesus said to do!.. I was very jaded by church as well, however, I found that I'm no better than Jesus... why wouldn't people betray me? 🥰😇 They played their part to get me to total surrender. Recently had this experience, I was battling an evil figure in my life on this particular day, the battle was easy thanks to God. That night I saw a shooting star in my residential area which I have never seen before, I googled the biblical meaning and one of the meanings was victory over a evil force. Then the following morning me I woke up and went to the bathroom and l saw gold dust in front of my eyes, I thought it was just my eyes so I didn’t say anything to my sister, but as we are deeply connected and we both accepted Jesus Christ as our lord and saviour and have been going through the battle together, she said she saw some gold dust and I was like me too! What a blessing, thank you God for showing me you were here during a very dark day ❤️

I, too, am hungry to know and experience God as much and as genuinely as possible. It is true that people can be awed or offended by God's presence. God help us!!
The best way to " experience God" is by immersing yourself in His Word.
I was attending Bethel at this time when the Holy Ghost manifest in this manner. I had no idea it was new. Didn’t seem strange to me. 🤷♀️ Glory to God! 🔥 All these years later seeing the goings on about it? SMH I don’t take it lightly. We should NOT rip shred The Body of Christ over something like this.
“If you’re hungry for God; you’ll find Him. If you’re not? You’ll just find more offense” I agree with this. Our spirit is subject to us. It’s our filter and sometimes our filter gets foggy. We have to stay humble, forgiving and CONNECTED to Holy Ghost who leads us into all truth.

I've only listened to the first 3 2\3 minutes and overwhelmed at such foolishness. So calmly, lying to those who Jesus suffered for them to have Eternal Life. Find this as a biblical way the Holy Spirit functions. Find this in scripture.
If this conversation makes sense to anyone, you don't know your God, you don't understand Him and His ways. But you believe this deception over testing it with scripture. Study to show yourself approved unto God. What you want you'll go after bc you want God more than your own life. Or you will accept lies bc the experiences are real. Well, God is not about experiences and doesn't want us to trust in experiences. God wants us to have faith. Faith is only based on God's written word and God honors His word above His own name.

Signs and wonders follow those that believe. Signs. And “wonders”. I think that covers scripture.
I don’t know how Holy Spirit shows up in your walk but signs and wonders follow me. I’m not boasting. I’m just telling you. I could tell you miracles all day. They always surprise me. This just isn’t unusual to me at all.

Several yares ago, I lived in an upstairs apartment and when I would pray on my face for hours and I looked up in the ceiling I could see a foggy cloud on the left upside of my living room in the ceiling. I knew it was Gods Glory cloud. When I finally moved one sister from my church came into my house to help me. She started crying and weeping she said the presence of God is so strong in here. It was very strong. The landlorde came into my living room and he shuttered and said sister I can feel the presence of God in this room. I was off work and the lanlord brought in about 5 bags of grocery to me.❤ God is wonderful.
One christmas day I stayed home from visiting family to pray for my sister's heart and spend time with God. While I prayed I felt the wind of God in this apartment my living room, and I heard his audiable voice. He said Ruach loud and strong. At that time I did not know what it meant I believe it means breath or wind of God. I began to laugh in the spirit when I felt his breath blowing on me. I love the presence of God. He is sweet and so loving and kind to grace me with his presence. I thank him.❤ Do it again Lord!

@@ibetheltv I shared because it was good to see your video. I was told that what I saw in the ceiling was not the glory of God, told that is not what the glory means. I had stopped sharing various experiences because the religious people will try to make me think I was wrong and that I am spooky.
The problem is everyone sees Gods glory everyday and they don't believe it. How many people will disbelief even more when God appears in a greater realization. God lavishes us in awe.

@@68868s Maybe, and that might be the right response here. Is it wrong to desire evident manifestations of His glory and presence, though? To borrow from an article I came across recently, "The clear teaching of the New Testament is that God gives spiritual gifts to the church for the common good of the saints (1 Corinthians 12:7) and to empower her mission to evangelize the world (Luke 24:48-49; Acts 4:29-31; 1 Corinthians 14:24-25)."
There is a very real temptation to judge a ministry or one's own spirituality based off of whether we are seeing visible/tangible manifestations (especially in more charismatic circles), as opposed to the fruit and God's convictions and His word. And many a ministry has continued long after the glory has departed because they are still seeing the odd miracle or sign (because a loving God will absolutely respond to the faith and needs of those who may show up or sacrifice to seek healing from those speaking in His name, even if the ministry itself is no longer honoring him). In some especially perverse cases, ministries even fake signs - something you and I can find in our day, and even in scripture (2 Thes 2:9; Deut 13:1-5).
You're not wrong, not at all about a wicked generation both failing to interpret the signs of the times, and about constantly seeking a performance, a God who conforms to their itching ears and sinful demands. I don't know that I disagree with what you're saying here at all. I just feel that it also isn't wrong to desire miracles, signs, and wonders from the God we are seeking and that the world desires to encounter that is bigger, closer, and more glorious than the loud and destructive forces they encounter every day in their lives and in their governments.
Is it wrong to desire to see love expressed practically? To desire to see sickness and disease overcome, to encounter a God who is God over physics and chemistry and not at the mercy of them? Jesus, after all, did promise that we would see these works (as in the works and miracles He did), and even greater as He went to the Father Jn 14:12, and that those would continue until the return of Christ: 1 Cor 13:9-12.
I would say - as in all things - it is the heart, the source, the goal, and the fruit that speaks to the righteousness of desire. God will absolutely rebuke the worship of signs and wonders just as he rebuked the worship of those who performed them (Acts 14:11-18), but just as Jesus did not rebuke the desire for greatness and significance among His disciples (but redefined it as serving all and glorifying God in humility), He neither condemned the desire for signs and miracles and triumphs over a supernatural enemy, but promised greater works as a fruit of the coming Holy Spirit.
I suppose a tension that encourages hunger brought in fearful trembling to the feet of Jesus that we might steward this abundance and risky tension with worshipful reverence.

I am loving these conversations. I have loved ones who have been swayed by videos and critics. But when I listen for myself, I find no fault. Just people who love Father God with abandon. I want everything God wants to share with me. I want HIM!
I'm in agreement, it's about Jesus Christ, the written word of God, ministers who rightly divide the word of God.,the studying and testing what is taught or manifestations taking place. If this is not excited and fulfilling, nothing is.
Read the book of Jude. I did a video on it as well.
It's not about "finding fault," it's about discerning a false spirit from the true. If you're ok with lies, tricks, occult practices being done in God's Name, then you don't know the "Father God." He forbids occult practice and He will not be mocked.

It's true! I'm from South Africa Cape Town and in our church when I was in the worship team I saw the glory cloud.. And the presence of God was tangible that service.. Unfortunately not alot of people have experienced this phenomenon. Thank you Jesus ❤️🙏🏽

I was attending the School in 2011 and saw it quite a few times. It was amazing! The clouds of gold dust moved in such unusual ways - billowing up and making shape like forms. It was like fine gold powder. Glory to God forever!!

In short, “none has been gold.” He was also able to obtain samples of “gemstones” from “angels” appearing in services and concluded they were “synthetic man-made stones.”3 On another occasion a geochemist from the University of Toronto did an investigation of “gold dust” and found “the specks did not contain any gold or platinum but were some type of plastic film.”4 And yet a third study by the U.S. Geological Survey found it was “plastic film with no traces of gold, platinum or silver.”

Awesome the Lord is so good it happened to me in 1990 i live in Australia went to church i was full on for God back then so hungry for more got home and went to the bathroom and had this gold like glitter on my face i thought whats this, washed my face went to bed ,, thought no more of it..
another time me and a friend arrived at toronto vinyard church back in the day travelled from sydney spent 2 weeks there at the very last service before we has to return home this old lady preyed laid hand on me and the peace of the lord went threw my hole being i remember saying lord if thats you do it again and boom more intence . i thought to myself im just talking to the lord ,, he isnt that far away lord if this is you do it again its 2021 and i can still enter in his prescience just like time stood still this happened when i was 23 or 26 years old im now 54 his goodness is really really good taste and see that the Lord is good .

The most powerful scripture in the bible is , My people are destroyed, by Lack of knowledge. The Glory was pour out in the AZUSA STREET REVIVAL IN EARLY 1900 .. Then Man started to make money off it and God withdrawal his glory from man . Then in the last days God said he would pour out his glory again. And God has pour it out. But if you mock it and doubt it , you will never see it. Many churches are experiencing the Glory right now . To get the glory you half to give up everything to follow God. Which means no worldly things in your life. I went after the glory last summer. I stayed in prayer , fasting , and praying in tongues for hours. At night when I sleep , I played music soaking music , to keep me in God's presence 24 hours.From the moment I woke up I started praying , worshipping, studying, and praying in tongues. Then one morning the glory fell on me and I was completely undone. It was the most powerful experience in my life. But you half to pay a price to get it. Many are called " but few are chosen". Those minister who carry the Glory of God , payed a huge price to get it. And look at all the doubting Thomas and their comments. If you mock it and make fun of it , you will never see it manifest in your life. And one-day you or a love one will need that glory to get a miracle in your life , and God will just pass you by .. You cannot mock God's anointed men or women in God , then expect God to hear your prayers and answer them. The most powerful scripture in the bible is MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROY FROM LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. AND YOUR NOT MOCKING Bill Johnson your mocking God and his Holy Spirit and that's a unforgivable SIN. I believed it happened, I've felt the Holy Spirit Wind in my home no A/C during a Bethel worship service online..Tosha Cobbs lead...NO wind outside. I've felt the Weight of His presence on my body my arms could not go up any further. When I've been in a worship gathering at my Church. 🔥😭

I believe in signs and wonders. However, with the gold dust? The supernaturalness of it can be verified so why does nobody do it? Gather it and get it lab tested, do it. When its REAL, a church is anxious to do that.

Jesus warned about false prophets in the church with lying sings and wonders. Don’t trust what you see, listen to the message. The only message that should be taught is Christ crucified, not how great of a person you are or how great God will make your life. Please take another look into these things.

You know what, I'm just learning to accept the fact that I need to listen more than throw truth in someone's face every chance I get. I think they got the truth in their face in just about every other Twitter post. I'm definitely mystified by what they said. I have my doubts, and even can give some biblical textual evidence and say, "Nah man". But then you wonder, and you go like, hey if it happened and you can't explain it, I'm willing to think that God was doing something. To what end? Who knows, but to press in and give glory to God is the best way to proceed imo.
Compare the less than surprised reaction of Bill Johnson when the "glory cloud" occurred (suposedely the presence of God or the Holy Spirit in their presence) with how Moses reacted to God's presence at the burning bush. He fell to his knees, covered his face and trembled in fear. Bill Johnson's daugther-in-law has such a low regard for the Trinity, she thinks of the Holy Spirit as the Genie in Aladdin (and He's blue) and thinks that angels in the Holy Throne Room of God are farting and texting. Not even kidding.

Sounds all very calm and reasonable here but it Seems really strange that those who experienced this ‘glory cloud’ responded differently than anyone ever in scripture that responded to Gods glory. If people can whhhhoooopppp and pull out their phones and cheer and talk nonsense in the midst of a cloud of Gods glory puts question marks over the legitimacy of this. + would have been great to pocket some of that Gold dust for analysis. Seems mandatory in scripture that every time Gods glory shows up to his people, people tend to do the same thing.

....when I was in a ministry as Bethels, I let manifestations of Supernatural verify that it was the Holy Spirit. Till I googled Kundalini.
Now I read in scripture that, first, this is not the Holy Spirit doing the manifestations. Jesus taught exactly what the function of the Holy Spirit was to do.
I aslo know,now ,how my faith was not based on scripture alone. I was involved with a demonic spirit counterfeiting the Holy Spirit. Now I know I was deceived by those manifestations thinking it was biblical. I was not testing anything I was being taught or about manifestations or I would not have been blinded. I really wanted the Holy Spirit to do in me the purpose of salvation. It's different now, I actually am really free, like chains are broken off. I know and understand God and likewise, Jesus.

Several years ago at Bethel Chapel in Nashville, TN we were in corporate prayer and intercession and there were a few of us experienced something similar. And I have not seen it sense. I happened to be in the balcony with 3 other friends, one of them was the children's minister of the church, and we experienced seeing the gold dust on the palms and fingers of our hands. We knew it had to be the presence of Holy Spirit. I long to be in the midst of his presence like that again. Thank you for sharing this. I had not heard of anyone else speak of this until now.

The writings aren’t talking about secular deception, but deception within the church under the label “Christian.” Jesus himself says that false teachers will come in his name. They don’t run around with bullhorns proclaiming “I’m a false teacher who worships the devil.” Instead, they come in with charming personalities, fun stories, claims of supernatural experiences, and in this case…gold glitter from Hobby Lobby.

Hardcore sinners would randomly find themselves lining up in the parking lot for hours without knowing why, and they would suddenly feel convicted of their sins and cry - not knowing why, and then they get into the service and hears a message of repentance and the gospel and gets saved and transformed. How are you assuming something similar wasn't happening to him? And even if it wasn't that kind of experience, maybe it was something that propelled him to find out more about Christianity which then led to him getting saved. Or perhaps he had heard the gospel before that point and understood with his mind but didn't click in his heart, and in that moment it suddenly clicked. Anything is possible. It's a short 3-line comment, it's not gonna include every detail of his testimony, nor is he obliged. A testimony is testifying the God he encountered, not a presentation of all the theological points so that you can assess him and give your stamp of approval. If you want a theological presentation, go listen to a sermon. Plenty of them on CZcams. I'm interested in how God encounters each individual and brings them to faith, and I loved his testimony!

I watched the clip and he was referencing a ministry in Miami. Who's to say the real thing happened at Bethel and the other ministry manufactured the occurence? I know a guy who was at bethel when it happened and he said it came up from the floor. We have biblical precedence that signs, wonders, and miracles have taken place it only makes sense that God can and still does those things.

Paul talks in verse 14 about how praying in a tongue is his spirit praying and how his mind is unfruitful when he does it, so he also prays with his understanding (v. 15). What I didn't quote earlier is that in verse 13 he instructs whoever speaks in a tongue (the context here is in a corporate setting) to pray that he might interpret. So nobody there is assumed to understand what he spoke in the tongue unless the interpretation is given. Paul also alludes to this in verse 5.

One of my favorites was his ressurection day sermon 2020. I challenge you to listen to it for yourself and see if it`s not the Gospel. If it is the gospel, then who are you fighting against? I don`t expect you to answer me. I'm not looking to be proven right, just do it if you feel so inclined, if you are at all concerned that things may not be as you've been told. I didn`t say I don`t judge things, I said I'm more careful as in I try not to make quick judgments. I listen to a lot of sermons as I do my housework and other times and I also read and study the Bible everyday with very few days missed. I listen to scriptures when I do my yard work and I often listen to the scriptures as I sleep at night and I'm talking to God throughout the day and in response to what I hear His Holy Spirit say in His word. I've been a Christian for over 40 years. I say this not to lift myself up, but to say, I'm kinda familiar with what the Bible teaches and what you are saying about my brother does not fit with the reality of what I'm hearing coming from his mouth. I've never had this experience of a "glory cloud" but I don`t see it as something God wouldn't do. Nor is it unbiblical. After all, didn`t he manifest Himself as a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day to His people He brought out of Egypt? What is it to you if the Father so chooses to do this to encourage and edify His people? Is there anywhere in scripture that says he won`t do these things? Scriptures say there will be false signs in the end, but if there is false and counterfeits it doesn't mean there isn`t real as well. @@nancycrews4358 Hi Nancy, I was in the signs and wonders ministry about 4 or so years. Before that I was at a Assembly Of God church, then at a church strong on the word of God. They had a school of theology I went to for 3 years. I studied so much with it that I wanted to get back to studying the bible and reading it for myself. I loved spending time reading, intercessary prayer, and loving on the LORD in worship. Love the hymns. A little back round so you know I was quite serious to know God, His word, and I love prayer.
A person can know the word of God, be consistent seeking the face of God and His righteousness, yet, fell into the signs and wonders.
I ask myself how could I have been so gullible? I knew the Holy Spirit in me was the same power that raised Christ from the grave. That power is in me to be released to do healings etc.. made sense. Now I understand what scripture says about what the function of the Holy Spirit is about.

The cloud by day that led the Israelites, was by no means a cloud of God's glory. Jesus did not do signs and wonders for the attention of the ppl. When there was a need He had compassion on them. Mainly scriptures was about His teachings
about the Kingdom of God. He knew ppl were interested in being healed, but Jesus knew they had only a few who wanted to know Jesus, wanted to know about the Kingdom of God,
gave up businesses to follow Him.
Jesus came to give them life, but His Truth didn't give them room to live as the world. They were guilty and the Pharisees really worried that He'd be followed and not themselves. They would lose their prestige among the ppl, they would no longer live the easy rich life. So, the plan was to have Him accused of false accusations to be crucified.
Being a believer is not an easy road. We are called to be holy, die to self, forgive those who transgress against us, walk on a narrow path for it is that path that leads to life.

Our encouragement is when Jesus said, the things we suffer in this life for Him is not to be compared to what God has prepared for those who love Him. Love that requires more than emotions or feelings. Faith is what pleases God.

Who am I to judge? It sounds like they handled this experience in a biblical way. I would have to conclude it was the Lord, without having any more details of those events and how it affected the congregation.

@@rpiepho365 sure. Bethel teaches a lot about the current supernatural works of God and focuses mainly on God doing something now. I believe God does do miracles now, so I'm not a cessationist, (meaning, I'm not a "God doesn't work now" kind of person) But what Bethel doesn't do, day in and day out of their ministry, is focus on the cross, and how His total and complete and true work for you is finished. Bill even indicates that God delivers people in these crazy awesome ways, like glory clouds and stuff (which I'd like to hear more personal testimonies), but I don't hear about how we are truly delivered and given everything we need by what Jesus already did on the cross. The focus is off at Bethel. The focus is current experience. Bill slightly states the gospel in these interviews, but in their consistent teachings, I haven't found Christ and Him Crucified as the main foundation of their teachings or so called miracles. Christ's work is finished for everyone. They just must repent, come to Him, and believe. It's such a beautiful simple gospel, and bethel makes it confusing and chaotic.

I think this is dangerous, because God's word says as believers, He IS with us. What if someone in the congregation doesn't get a physical manifestation? Are they going to think something is wrong with them? Or God has left them? That could really shake someone's faith up. As a true believer in Christ, God never, ever leaves you, whether you sense Him or not. I don't hear this biblical doctrine taught either. And honestly, I would like to ask people who attend Bethel, how often they may feel God has left them because they didn't "experience" anything. That's why teaching sound doctrine first, is so important.
Went to Bethel. Great place. But the “gold dust” was where I drew the line. The people claiming to have experienced it were always so incredibly weird and spacey... and their “proof” of “gold dust” falling on the ground during worship looked like pencil shavings lol. I love Bethel's music and worship ministry so much. I have heard some very profound things from Bill Johnson and have also heard so much criticism from non-Charismatic theologians ... all of that to say these Rediscover Series look to me like damage control.
This sounds a little negative. IF you look with negative lenses well you will keep seeing negative things. I never once saw this as damage control, but as them just showing the hungry new world all the beautiful growth and lessons they have learnt. they aren't interested in being popular in the sight of man, but in the sight of God. IF Ps Bill cared for man's flattery well don't you think that he would have been a little different in his initial days at Bethel? You know when more than half the congregation left? He has only lived for Him. Please reassess everything that your own understanding has told you.

He is a very brave man of God but he is also a steward of the flock and of the church God Has given him.,As the undershepherd and as such he has the obligation to protect the image of Bethel don't you think? That means he MUST do damage control, he MUST do videos to offer a more in deptt discovery of what Bethel is all about. I don't intend to be contrary, but shouldn't a sign from God have a discernable meaning? We always know that God is with us, and where two or more are gathered, there He is is the midst. I struggle to understand how this physical manifestation of his presence could have added anything to his presence. So, the only conclusion that can be made is that it was there to point to him and draw people closer, the sign-post pointing to someone. But...we already know how to find him without this. So, the sign should have some discernable meaning since we already know how to find God, and that is through Jesus.
