i have 1 69 s and 1 69 d. i have been collecting change and coins for30 years. only about a month ago i became disabled and after seeing a video i decided to start going through my change for valuable coins rather than just cashing them in at the bank for face value. i have learned very much in all the videos i see daily. already i have found some very valuable coins.
I’ve collected coins for several years now, but this is the first time I’ve come across a positive match… I have the exact same $30,000 coin although in better condition than your example I believe!
Can someone help? I got a 1983 quarter back in change. The edge of it doesn't have those lines around it. The edge is like a nickel. How can that happen? Thanks for any help given.
I've got a 2006 that the steps are so faint when the coin is turned one way and disappears when the coin is turned another way, but the first step from the bottom where it's wider is perfect and I gather that step goes first? Is there value in a coin like this. You can clearly tell it's the mints fault not ware . Thanks

What ever happened to this design? It looks like the steps are transferred to the two front doors vertically. Look closely at the nickels inside the two center collums. What are those vertical lines doing there?

What if the D is still a uppercase D but it’s small?
I have two 1964-D nickles and one 1968-S nickle. On one of the 1964 nickles on the back there are some slightly seen straight horizontal lines on the front steps, but this nickle doesn't have an FS anywhere on it. Now the 1968-S does have the FS in the front on the bottom of Jefferson barely seen, but you can't see the steps on the backside of the nickle unless use lighting and a magnifying glass/es and tilting the nickle to see the steps.

OKAY - I need some advice. I just open a roll of nickels from the bank and I have one of the 1969 D Nickels without the stairs as well as PLUS 34 1939 nickels PLUS a 1991 nickel with the SERIF on the "E" PLUS a few other years I have not looked up yet. This must have been from some estate. WHAT SHOULD I DO?????
U,should send them out to have them graded because the longer u wait u will get less money for them and if i had the money to send mine out i would because like i said the longer u sit on them the less u get for them belive me that is what is happening too me right now.SO send them out and get insurance on them just in case.Good luck.

You would have to get it graded to verify the grade. You can take it into a coin shop and they will send it to a coin grading agency for a fee.

Any year can have the full steps. It just needs to have been made using a newer die so that way there was more detail.
