I started crying and I was like "She deserved to be with Clay, why, whyyyyyy". But im kind of impressed though cuz usually I dont cry while watching series. But yeah, I love the show and they deffinately need to make a new season

it really was but Hannah slitting he wrists was a little much to show lol
Fair enough, it was a rough scene, but I think they wanted the bathtub scene to be like that. If they cut away, it would have cheapened 13 episodes of build up. Nothing about suicide is comfortable, and they showed how brutal it is by not cutting away or using angles that obscure the shot.

I'd say that he's planning on shooting up the school. Alex will probably survive. Bryce will most likely go to prison for rape. The Baker's will win something.
I'm waiting for those questions to be answered in season 2

Yahir Castro me too the tears just started to flow then i went from sad to upset once i saw the counselor's scene. It felt like i was feeling the cuts i was shaking. They were right for warning us at the beginning of the episode. This show is so real and relatable on every level.

this is literally the only show I know of, based off of a book and turned out just as great as the book. well done Katherine and Dylan!
I've been watching the show almost in one long stretch. It is way better than the book! And that's rare!!! It's so beautiful and funny and smart and really makes you love Hannah and clay and then i love how they didn't just sugar coat the rape scenes or make fade outs. It was so impactful. It was so great!

This show was incredible. Everyone needs to watch it. I was in tears when Hannah killed herself. i felt like i was in clay's position i just wanted to yell like " you have so much more in life to look forward to" it's so tragic. and this happens to so many amazing souls my heart goes out to real families that experience this.

I still have questions!!! Why'd Alex shoot himself? What is Justin doing with the gun he took? What is Tyler doing with the gun? Is Bryce going to be charged? are they all going to be charged? Where were Tony, and Clay going in the end? Is Sherri going to jail? Like ugh lol I need to know!
flora quint The way I see it is that Alex shot himself because the guilt got too much for him. At the start he's very much with Justin and everyone else that Clay needs to keep his mouth shut but as the show progresses we see at multiple times Alex state that what he did was a massive mistake and even goes out his way too agree with what Clay is saying. I'm pretty sure he even tells the rest of the guys that Clay spilling the truth maybe isn't the worst idea. Not mention the scene where he's in the pool which hints that Alex has suicidal thoughts or everything is getting too much for him. At the end of the day Alex cared about Hannah and didn't expect the list to go down as bad as it did, he just wanted Jessica to be jealous.
flora quint it's called an imagination. I know crazy. Havent heard of that since I heard libraries were going out of business. Author's leave that stuff open for interpretation so that the readers can think on it.

Idk if it's just me but when I finished the series I felt so bitter because I had un-answered questions.

I think they left so much unanswered questions because the show's focus was on the reasons behind Hannah's death and the result of it e.g. Alex shooting himself was a result of the guilt of knowing he is partly responsible for her suicide. if they started to draw on why Tyler had a case full of guns and things like that it takes away the meaning behind the show. I guess it also leaves it up to the viewers to think for themselves about everything the show didn't answer; we can interpret the ending however we want
I binged this show all night and can I just say it's absolutely AMAZING and VERY Relatable. The last episode had me balling my eyes out screaming NO! And she is so freaking pretty with short hair and UGH THIS SHOW IS JUST AMAZING UGH PLEASE WATCH

Episode 1-9 are relatable to teenagers with all the swearing high school nights and just high school life (friends, boyfriends etc) but after watching episode 10 the show gets deep and non of that shit matters it hits you hard core I'm so glad none of it was sugar coated

Feel sorry for the actors having to say how important Selena Gomez was when they haven't seen much of her.

Odi Toth ok, but that's not what the actors are saying, cause it's not what people are expecting. What everybody wants to hear is that Selena was there every step of the way supporting them (the actors), and it was not true, but they have to say so anyway.
I'm so glad they swore in this story (ik sounds weird) but I hate shows that don't use inappropriate language when teenagers are talking feel like it's so unrealistic 16-17year olds don't say things like "what the hell" or "shut up" so when I first saw it and heard them swear I was like thank god they ain't sugar coating shit

it really irritates me that every interviewer asks them about Selena just because she is more famous. this is the second time I see that happening and the actors didn't seem to like having to answer this stupid questions.
Yes, but she was hardly actually on set, working with the actors. She just bought the rights to the show. Anyone can buy the rights to a show and hire a bunch of people to make the show without actually doing anything in the creative process. Every time they're asked about Selena, they give the exact same answer because they have nothing else to say about her.
They never talk about other producers so what makes her so special. Its irritating me
Actually I think it's fair enough they mention Selena cause if she and her mom hadn't bought the rights to this show, it would most likely have never happened. But I see what you mean, she was barely there as she was the executive producer, and their role is mostly to get through the whole financial stuff and distributors, but this stuff can be done without coming on the set :)

Wow this show tore me to fucking pieces. I was crying and shaking for so long. The suicide scene destroyed me. My brain kept making me think these were real people. The only reason I'm watching these interviews is to remind myself that those were actors.

They seem so awkward when people ask them if Selena gave them advice or anything throughout the whole filming and stuff...the question was whether she gave them any good advice, but he than answered about her being super busy and stuff like he was avoiding the answer if 'no she wasn't around at all'.
Yes she bought the rights, she helped people to actually make this book in to a movie, but she was obviously not around (only towards the end) when they were filming the show...not hating but seriously this show is not about Selena Gomez, I get she's a celeb, not to mention she's an EP (that WASN'T around) and not the director of the show.

ok here's a theory on how Hannah might be alive.
So in the series the baker's drug store is going out of business because of Walgreens. What if Hannah's suicide scene just what the people thought happened. and that lawsuit against the school is just for money. I know so absurd and untrue. But it gives a shred of hope

Abby Hustwick she's the main reason why this show even happened. (Other than the author ofc) She was suppose to star in it as well but feared that the message would be overlook, or that people wouldn't want to watch it just cuz they're petty and disliked her. You also gotta remember that she has her own life too - music, tour, & acting (back in the days) as well as her own issues which she has talked about. Don't discredit her bc she wasn't on set everyday. She was on set for the last couple days of shooting after she left rehab. The actors did an amazing job portraying a beautiful story as Selena did an amazing job at trying to bring it to life.
