Based on life experience and stereotypical views, we assume that men do not like: flowers, lace, pastel colors, and everything typically associated with a romantic, feminine style. They don't like the things many of us most often and willingly use in our handicrafts. How to get around this? Name Day Card for a Man - How to Make It?
A black base and elements cut from black cardboard, dark blue Lemoncraft paper with a pattern imitating jeans, a light sheet with a board pattern to brighten the whole, and masculine gadgets like a football and bottles of the favorite male drink: this is Jola's recipe for a beautiful card for a man. A name day or birthday card for a man can easily be complemented with your favorite flowers, provided they match the color scheme of the entire composition. Our Designer additionally balanced the lightness of the flowers with dark - black and brown - paper leaves.
To ensure the card, despite the dark colors used, does not appear too visually heavy and dark, the individual elements were backed with bookbinding cardboard, helping to vary their level and give the work a three-dimensional character. Other ways to add a lighter touch to the work include the mentioned lighter sheet, a few lighter compositional elements, and a delicate ribbon - which, although kept in a dark color, wonderfully adds dynamism and lightness to the composition!
