From what I've seen in them, there actually is no rng. The same move will crit or not and land debuff or not depending on whether you've done the right moves. I've done testing on several of the stages and if you do certain move orders you will always fail to crit on certain enemies in certain scenarios, etc
Exactly, feels like they removed rng from these mock battles. You will always sleep or stun etc.

It's entirely determined by whether or not you've made the right moves. Use the wrong skill on the wrong unit at the wrong time and you won't crit or apply debuffs

realizing this on releaseday, I also commented this already to bagel on the video from this day, but realising this,was helping to solve this Puzzlebattles on release day (allthough I tried some of the battles 5 to 6 times )

FALSE. If that were true, I wouldn't hate watching Zaiross try to auto Faimon Hell and spam his first skill over and over.
its the other way around, the reason we blame AI is because they don't use their skills when they have them
Well it's kinda both sometimes lushen or other mons will use third skill when 1 monster left with 1 hp on a wave and others it's they have third skill but use there first instead so it can go either way
My Mock Battle 12 goes wrong when it's for Xiong Fei to attack Halphas with the S3 Kahn goes first and then if I reverse the order for Kahn to kill Neal, Halphas can become invincible. Because it wasn't Nisha's turn to use S3 and so turn 22 is when Nisha's turn comes.
This keeps happening to me as well, i realized that in the video that bagel lands the slow on neal and I dont everytime i play through it. Maybe its a bug because i play it by the book everytime and it just doesnt work

I finished the whole Mode on release day, so yeah , when you find out,that RNG is not there in this mode, and everything goes all the same in everytime you try that, you will make it prettyy fast through it. It took me sometimes 5 to 6 tries, because the longer ones are harder to keep track on.
I think it is poorly designed, for example in some scenarios you need to make a bad move in order for the next skill to not be resisted, my mental couldnt bear that anymore after stage 6 or something
Battle 12 seems to have changed somehow. Dunno if it's possible anymore. It's very similar up until turn 8 where the slow fails to land on all enemies.
To me this content is super annoying since it doesn't give a clear picture how the units work at all since the RNG is basically removed and using the "wrong" skill can cause it to fail even if it would normally be optimal.
I cant do it on the battle 12. On the turn 14 it should be the panda attacking, but for me it's the bird (screwing everything up).
pretty sure level 9 doesn't work the same any more because of the elsharion buff. gonna have to figure it out on my own

Attempted doing these training stages today, some of the attack orders used to clear waves arent working anymore. Is there a up to date version on beating these stages? Stage 12 is rough
This is what I needed. Some were easy to do others I got stuck on lol 😂
There is either rng or things have changed since this video. Have had to look up separate guides for some of these.
Example: Mock Battle 11 by turn 11 Velajuel should be dead, have tried multiple times and he is not dead. Causing 1 extra turn every time and messes up the rest of the order for the video

Only if they make new ones. Otherwise there wouldn't be a ton of point. It isn't as versatile as toa from a strategy standpoint

Is it worth mentioning that if they get rebalanced in a balance patch, future new players might not be able to complete these puzzles bcs these units might get nerfed ?

For the first turns if u do the way they wanted it u can't miss skills if its right also it always crits same turn same target. If u miss u do something wrong

I pretty sure the rng is always the same you can try that in the last one rica will always do her 3rd skill and she always going to give Land the same debuff no matter how much you try .
But There could be rng if you do it out of order

It is not a puzzle. Its trial and error. I dont blame anyone for using a guide.
At first i was hyped for this content. This was how i envisioned a "skill = knowledge" based puzzle in SW. HOWEVER... It has nothing to do with knowledge. Debuffs will land or not land depending on what action you took that should NOT influence the chance of a debuff landing or not.
Example: Praha/Tanya/Vigor/Chloe.
First Chloe will buff her team. You decide to steal a buff from Praha with Elsharion. If you then use Cichlid's S3 on praha, you will NOT def break.
But, if you dont streal a buff from Praha, Chichlid's S3 will def break.
Unless its a hidden mechanic, her defbreak chances are not increased by the amount of debuffs she removes.

The Neal light lich fight doesn't work, been trying for over 2hrs with these exact attacks and Neal never gets the speed debuff and always gets a purify off and I when turn 23
Anyone else notice that the succubus nightmare doesn't actually give you 3 of them they give you the dark, wind and then hellea. The icon shows a fire succubus.
the way that I was doing the skogul one was that I was using Lauren to push his attack gauge back and I used tesa to put oblivion on the rest and I still completed it three stars. it was pretty weird to see this way lmao

On battle 11 I literally never get sonnets con damage to vela thus fking up the whole thing. 50% is somehow miraculously 0% for me after 20 resets. I did however change it up a bit to win finally in 18 turns instead of 19 in the video. Please Update. half of these later stages are wrong now
Mine has multiple times stolen immunity on the first turn, however I was using s3 for Elsharion. Also, Cichlid NEVER stripped anything with skill 3 until I followed instructions.
Like you said there are many ways to do it, for example I did use Nishas third skill first turn and still got 3 stars
actually im pretty sure everything has a set response it just depends on which unit you pick on which turn but it is all set

For anyone wondering why this isnt working, mostly outdated. Some monsters got buffs or debuffs u need to look for a new one
I have only been able to 3 start stage 9 using the guide and even after this, after using the guide, I still have no idea what that one stage was supposed to be about...

Always steals immunity, never the invincibility. That's why mine stole invincibility on the first try.

There must has been an update or change. The attack order is out of line on some of them.
It won't always steal the immunity btw, his second skill was always taking the Invulnerability
I just followed seanb to beat it and I got 3 stars in all 20 stages. Its ez everythings in a specific order nothing is rng. The enemys atk pattern Is already set.

Are you sure RNG plays a factor in this? From me do it it seems that you always get the same RNG based on the order you do stuff. Specifically if you're doing stuff in the right order the debuff will always land or always crit when it's supposed to the same way each time. So like if you redo these and follow the guide you should land the same debuffs on the same monsters every time and crit the same monsters at the same time every time.
Just a heads up, video is outdated on certain stages. I ran them over and over with no success. Didn't happen with all the stages, just some.
these things are not the same anymore, had to do #9 differently as different things keep happening in the order shown and so is #10.. for me at least.

Hay bagel good vid just want to tell you there is no RNG involved its all scripted. That is why if you hit a certain mon on a certain turn you will resist or miss crit but on next turn land everything.
RNG is no factor in this battle, you will always crit in the same turn on the same enemy. You always get the same debuffs on the enem or yourself in certain turns . Just try it for yourself, when you start the battle do it 5 times the same way and you will realize,that all crits and debuffs are allways at the same time.Thats the only way to manage the challenge in a certain amount of time. The ankleshot thing for example ,you wont win if the stun wont work, but you always stun and you always freeze, you allways decrease the atb of konamiya. That makes this gamemode just a big puzzle with multile solutionorders. I repeat, every turn will have predefined buffs,debuffs,crits and so on, also the enemies will always atack the same targets in the respective turns, when you repeat the battles in the same order,you will see that.
Well, if I'm gonna watch this I may as well do this, and if I'm gonna do this I may as well do it on all three Islands.

These are no longer accurate. Seems like Com2us changed some of the turn order and debuffs that land. Oh well...
nope there is no rng involved in this fights. it only depends when do u use the skill. for example the stage with khali - she will not crit on a certain turn. i did every step exactly the same - she never crits that turn / in this particular turn/skill order

For battle 6 I used Nisha 3rd skill first and got all three stars
you shouldve honestly used your webcam in this video because every time yu were guessing on wat attack to use i assumed it was correct for when it was wrong considering we couldn't see you were reading the sheet for which attack to use. Done this multiply times and it just kinda frustrated me.
Sorry to say but monsters move different than this guide on floors 5 10 12 haven't gotten any further than floor 12 atm.
No RNG applies. As long as you do it the correct way, everything happens exactly the same. Even the damage is identical.
