Excellent learning! I need to repair one of my fog lights, one clip is broken and the optic is somewhat loose. I bought new ones and want to replace both. And I want to polish my headlights too, so removing the bumper will allow me do both jobs more easily. Thanks!
Hello again! I tried that procedure with my father-in-law, he is more experienced with cars, and we actually did it. But for the side parts removal (12:55 min) we had to remove 3 screws from the bottom part of the clips. My car actually has more than those clips, has 3 screws on each side. But we removed them and the rest was just similar. Cheers!
My car is a normal 407SW 1.6 HDI. Not coupé or anything. Luckily I have an endoscopic camera and attached it to the metal rod / hook to know where to place it and when to rotate it.
Not gonna lie a coupe has 1 smaller clip extra on each side i believe aswell. Very difficult to reach. Normal 407s only has 1 big twist clip and coupe has 2 one big and one small i think. Best of luck

Thankyou for your comment its always nice to read a good comment. I normally use Diagbox on most of my cars. I will make a tutorial how to use it in a couple of days. Its really easy to use this software and for French cars is the best.

The best way to remove headlights is to remove the bumper and then remove Headlight as some Headlight bolts is covered by a bumper but I know some people did manage to remove headlights without removing bumper I just not know how. Also if you try to remove a Headlight without removing your bumper you risking to break Headlight brackets

Hi mate which year is your 407 also do you know what spec as in a prefacelift most 407 had auto folding mirrors as standard. In faselift the only one who had non folding ones was SR spec.
With a scrapyard you just have to shop around and see who has what. But I would recommend to join Peugeot 407 UK Facebook group there is so many 407 owners someone will have a pair of mirrors which will be good for you.

Well if you remove a bumper then to remove a fog light becomes really easy. If you want to remove a foglight without removing a bumper it might be quite complicated. You would have to remove a shield surounding a front right wheel arch, then you would have to undo two bolts or screws holding a buttom of foglight in place then you would need to sisconnect a foglight connector and then you have to pull the bottom of the fog light needs to be moved towards the back of the car so that top could come out of its place but the problem with a driver side one is that a windscreen washer liquid container is right next to it so it might not give enough space to move the bottom backwards in wich case the top clips wouldnt come out of its place. I would personally remove a bumper and then take it out
Hello for the 407s with most of the engines including 1.6hdi,2.0hdi and many more its enough space to actually remove a radiator without removing a front bumper. It comes out from a engine bay side and its only held in place by clips. You would have to remove all coolant hoses fro. Radiator and then intercooler hoses becouse they would get in a way. And then you could take radiator out. Even a things like radiator fan can be taking out with priming top of the bumper off but without actually removing it.

Hi mate, to remove a wing you need to take a bumper off also remove the same side Headlight and you will need to remove one and lose 2nd of bonnet bolts on a same side. Also wheel arch liner needs to be removed.
Good video, seems like almost everything would apply to coupes as well. Clearly the fender clips are already broken on mine as the panels don't like up and the bumper 'droops' a little. Probably need to do this to get much easier access to the front parking sensors, everything is just a little packed because of the V6
@@Mad4FrenchCars yeah I took a look and seems like the top clip is broken and there's 2 of them right below the headlight. Was able to bend a coathanger into a tool like yours and I managed to rotate the bottom one off but for the life of me I can't get it to turn back so I made the situation a bit worse. I'm pretty sure it's lined up but I'm not quite sure why it refuses to turn, I can even get my hand there from underneath the car but even with my fingers I can't get the leverage needed
Its possible to do many things without removing a bumper like take a headlight out, take a lower crash bar off, take a fog lights off, take a grill off but the fact is its much more easyer to do it then a bumper is removed. The only thing would be difficult to remove is top crash bar as bumper sits on it and clips in but also possible to do. So it all depends how complicated you want to make it for yourself.
@@walthermauser5161 oh so you mean a bump strips on a corners if so then a they are a pain in a ass to remove and best done then bumler is off as you need to press clips to get it detached from the bumper. I have done it before but only with a bumper off as there is a chance you can brake a chrome if you just try to rip it off from outside

No problem is your car a coupe version of 407 if so then ya would be additional clips

For clip you can use rod from that lift.
It’s perfect fit and just twist. Have same car jack and I have used that end, no special tools required.

Sometimes you might have electric folding mirrors it just have to be activated with Diagbox or Peugeot planet software.

Well if you remove a bumper then to remove a fog light becomes really easy. If you want to remove a foglight without removing a bumper it might be quite complicated. The bumper is a standard but you can buy a sp grill on ebay.

Then i replace headlight i remove bumper as i dont want to break headlight clips as its bolted by 10mm bolts in 2 is behind a bumper

It would be very similar in a coupe. Coupe have a few clips extra need twisting on a sides.

@@waldevv those clips are horrible invention. Unfortunatelly have to try to pull towards yourself and twist at same time that's the only way

1 와샤 평면 약간 옆에 90도로 긴철사(40cm)를 용접.
2. 와샤 구멍 위,아래로 초경으로 조금만 파낸다.
3.고정용 브랏켓에 끼워 가며 초경으로 구멍을 넓힌다. 게임 끝!!
