If you are in a professional sports game, even at the lowest rating, you are still defeating 99.9% of the population at what you do.
most importantly the difference between vast majority of pro players is around like 5 - 7% in skill, maybe even less

in soccer unfortunately most players in a team don't have a chance to play official games or many games due to the limited subs, so most of them will have rates that the devs decide to give, and of course they will give it lower than starting players or popular players, but in realty their skill isn't that far from starting goalkeepers with average rating in these games, but the games makes them so

Less than 1% of those that play get the chance to turn Pro. This guy's playing in Belgium's 3rd tier at 19 years old and on the books of a top division team so it goes without saying he's going to be good.
Fifa doesn't give justice to low tier teams and players when it comes to rating. the same player in a high division league would be rated 75+

All pro players are at least good, but 50 rated goalkeepers or so cannot compare to how much better the 60+ or 70+ goalkeepers are. There is an obvious difference between 88 rated player to 82 rated player from the same position.
If you make it in the game, it means that you are least good at football
