Hell yeah brother...it’s been a long time comin’!
Thanks alot for these videos Im finally convinced to keep my KA and turbo it...
Farouqi Amin Hell yeah man!! Make vids so I can stay up to speed and hit me up if you need any help
thats sickk you should upload more if you can i loved this vid
I love the impressive work you've done. I bought an Ka back in July so now i am planing to fix the engine and transmission. thanks for creating these videos.
Nitter Undercove of course! working on a new one soon, i appreciate the love🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@asianboyyy117 Been super busy with internships and just got my first house. Really haven’t had time for the car but this winter it should be getting some love
@@thatgreens1380 just uploaded my first video about my car. someone in another comment section asked me to. let me know what you think!
I want to see more of the ka24det i just subscribed
Nice to see it still has the holset I sold you! Haha hell yeah dude
Any chance you remember how the wiper switch was wired in for the antilag. Looking to use the washer switch for my antilag but dont want the wipers to come on everytime i use it
S13's without a front bumper look like such sad bois lol
Please make more vids about the 240! Fixing it, driving it, drifting it, just let us hear that ka roar!
Man I waited the whole video for you to never give up that the secret to your build is the Italian herbs and cheese tank underneath the brake boost gauge harness compartment hinge bolt torquer sleeve
What jumper harness did you use? Do you have a part number?
Is that Burt from Raising Hope?
Stock ignition? Did you run into any issues with stock distributor? Other than your CAS wheel that you mentioned? I have a ka-t but im building my second motor to be around your same hp numbers and am torn between going for coil on plug setup or keeping stock distributor setup because COP is hella expensive, any help appreciated! Great video too
Sorry for the late reply - no issues with stock distributor! Should be good to go. Good luck!!
Hey Im going to be putting a ka24 in my 1967 Volvo 122. Im going to end up turboing it. I would probably do 9:1 forged pistons, headgasket and head studs. And of course injectors and a tunable ecu. I would like a bigger turbo like the hx35 so im not spooling all the time on the highway. I want about 350whp. Do you think that setup would hold 10psi and be reliable?
my bad man i just now saw this! yeah, id say thatd be a fairly reasonable setup. im at 410 with 18psi so ~15psi should work just fine for you. thats gonna be a sweet build!
I have an 8 blade HX35 with the .64AR housing sitting in my garage, would love to throw into an S13 someday. How are you enjoying the turbo setup ?
Its super fun! spools super quick and the turbo is super loud. couldn’t be happier lol
Is that Johnny Knocksvill?
Are you running a stock cylinder head? I don't see that in the parts list. Great to see the K24de doing work!
Cerevo i know! just didnt have the money for it at the time. def will build it in the future if i decide to continue putting money into this chassis
I am doing the same. Built bottom end and new seals valves and misc parts.
Almost 2 years later, is there any plans to post an update video on the car if you still have it?
Yeah! Ive been in college since fall 2018 and am studying to be a Mechanical Engineer so ive been busy but the car is still in storage at my shop. Plan on taking my internship money this summer and giving her some TLC. Life has just gotten the best of me but I’ll be back my man
@@thatgreens1380 hey man I totally understand and hope to see you back cause your content was really entertaining while being in depth and I love it
Is your engine built ? And how much did it cost to turbo and tune your car ???
DAVID K bottom end is built with a stock refreshed head. it cost all in all about 15k with all the highest quality parts and tuning..but I could probably make another 200whp on the setup if i built the head and added some supporting mods
Going to turbo mine I'm aiming for 250-300whp without opening the motor
Definitely a realistic goal! Id recommend some arp headstuds at the very least though. Good luck man!
@@thatgreens1380 thanks bro and definitely I'll do whatever I can do to help this motor last without opening it. It was rebuilt from previous owner. So don't want to have to redo all the gaskets haha
🦄🦄🦄
What clutch have you got stuffed in here?
Competition clutch white bunny 6 puck. Holds just fine actually even though its not quite rated for the power.
How’s this running to this day?
Still runs and drives but i just have it in storage for now while im in college. Thing RIPS though
Stock trans and rear end ?
G C stock trans (already broke one at the track) and a shimmed 180sx vlsd, about to swap in a J30 LSD.
Cerevo z32. had one lined up but sadly didnt have the money for it at the time ):
My man. Can I get wheel and tire specs? What wheels are those?
RabbitDogz square g8s (17x9) lol, like $550 for all 4. the tires are toyo r888r 255/45 i believe. pretty meaty setup but still spin through first and second
That Green S13 I was gonna ask you about that lol good thing I looked 🤣 can you tell me the offset in those wheels?
Hahaha thats my buddys dsm the guy from dynasty went up against

11:58 No way this car has almost 100whp in drivetrain loss. Whatever the loss was when stock (35'ish whp) will always be its loss and doesn't magically take twice the amount of power to turn the dyno rollers after adding a turbo. "Power loss on a chassis dyno is not a constant percentage that loses more power the more you make" Gale Banks TST Podcast #389 at 1:33:12
TurboDieselDan i agree with your quote from the podcast and think you may have just misheard me in the video. car made 410whp so if you do the math for 18% drivetrain loss as estimated by one of my past tuners (410/82=x/100) and cross multiply to solve it will give you 500 crank hp and about a 90hp loss to the wheels (500hp-90hp=410whp).
TurboDieselDan wait, my bad. i misread your quote. I understand now lol.
Thank you for giving me the courage and motivation to keep my KA in my S13 🙏
