One needs to know the difference between off-grid and on-grid Solar system before making the purchase. Government subsidy is applicable for on-grid system only and on-grid system don’t give power backup when there is no electricity in your area at night because battery is not used in on-grid system. Any extra current produced by your solar after lighting up your house will be send to the the main line during day time. Only if your electricity bill is high, it’s worth considering in a long run to reduce the bill. Otherwise, better go for off-grid with battery. I bought 200Ah battery, Solar inverter and solar panel worth 35k for my parent. Thats more than enough for a normal household in our area. Can easily run one tv, 5 led light bulb, two fan and mobile charging for 3 to 4 hours.

@@-w1nter903 Bro 1 panel is not enough for 200Ah battery because 160w or 170w 1 panel can produce 7 to 8 ampere hardly in a sunny day but in winter it will reduce at half
You need to calculate the 10% of your battery ah like 200ah=20 ampere 15 ampere will also good for long life for battery so it's better take 3 or more panel for all season and good charge controller, this is only for off grid not for hybrid system
@kabirsingh2529 it is just for backup when there is no electricity. We charge the battery with electricity most of the time. Occasionally, the current would not be available for 2 to 3 days due to bad weather or some major repair. The solar panel becomes handy those days.

Don't be fooled by the government subsidy. If you take subsidy, they increase the price rate. Going for non-subsidy and GST input tax credit or filing tax return is more beneficial if you can file that. Also Government Subsidy is available only on On-Grid Solar system NOT on OFF-GRID Solar Energy Systems. And in Nagaland, On-Grid System are useless because there are too much Load-Shedding. Also Solar Energy is not truly very clean because the manufacturing process of the panels are not as environmentally friendly as people make it sounds to be.

If I am not mistaken correct me if I am wrong, we can also install battery in on grid connection and yes according to the load consumption and kw installed the additional extra power generated will be sold tothe power dept and billed accordingly to the unit consumed per month

The problem is we cannot completely depend on solar , even if we install that 6 lakh solar system we will also be paying electric bill , so it's something etc , instead purchase an inverter which is affordable.
Off-grid solar is far better in a place like Dimapur.

The concept of Renewable energy is a novel idea to mitigate the problem of power shortage and irregular power supply. However, the cost of installation is beyond the reach of most common people.
This is a central schme..i think...5 years back i was interested in applying this ..the concept is, we pay few lacs and th central gov giv subsidiary around 3-5 lac i think and once we install this, then the state power dept start paying us monthly because part of the energy we store through this solar system is shared with the power dept..so instead of paying us, what they do is deduct/ reduce our electric bill since we r acting as a node of power source for power dept..now comes the middle businessman such as this in the video 😂...so all the best 👍
