  • Winding through the forest around mountains and ponds, the 45 miles of carriage roads in Acadia National Park are a great way to explore the park by bicycle. These wide, smooth roads are closed to motorized vehicles (with a few exceptions), they feature massive historic stone bridges and lead to some incredible views of Mount Desert Island.

    Looks nice, but wish you could see the coast. Guess you could come back down the island on the main highway??

    Thanks for posting. I plan to visit Acadia in June and bike this tri lake loop, too. Do you think this is too difficult for an eight-year-old girl on a rental bike? How long did it take you guys to complete it?
