I don't care about this current age of Instagram neo-soul guitar wannabes, BUT Mateus' style is still so beautiful and smooth and pleasant and melodic. He's definitely in a league of his own. His style always inspires me to explore more melodies and chordwork, but sounding like him is definitely a challenge.

Wow, Mateus my favourite for a while now, his taste, his feel is soo good, like the most comfortable feeling ever. He's got an old soul, but a young mind, and these two together some kind of magic.

Thoroughly enjoyable video, Rick! As an older player, I went back to 09s probably two years ago (I started having joint and arthritis issues). I needed to not “overwork” my hands. Originally, I thought that my tone would become too thin or brittle. However, I was rapidly reminded that tone knobs and equalizers are magnificent things. Not only did my tone not suffer, I prefer it to when I played 10s.

I hope this guy puts out an instrumental guitar album. He, like Matteo Mancuso, gives me hope that some young players will not let the art of guitar playing fade away. Incredible talent and very humble.

He is talking about the most influential musician in Brazil for the last 20 years, Juninho Afram. Nobody in Brazil's history influenced more people to start playing the guitar. Our Goat.

this is a realy nice guy , with an honest tone. He really have worked and practiced, no doubt, but he kept some really nice organic approach to it. Its fragile, in a way. Hes shyness, and personality comes out in his playing. Very charming . great from Beato, giving us the chance to get to know those talented young guys .
