To me, "Across the Stars" has always been John Williams' nod to Tchiakovsky's "Romeo and Juliet." Very beautiful classic piece of music, and thank you Anne-Sophie for your interpretation! May the Force Be With You, Anne and John!
Absolutely stunning. This needs far more exposure, caught an excerpt a little while back on classical radio. Blended it in my mind hearing it the first time now, I'll make a homage with that in mind.
2:56 Couldn't they bring the cellos out more? The violin sounds great but the orchestra is very dull (the recent Star Wars scores were disastrous). The mixing makes it worse (though not as dry, thanfully, as the Force Awakens).
@@infoluminux I was speaking of the mixing not of the soundtracks itself. Because, let's be fair, the recent Star Wars scores of Williams were average but way above Rogue One.
What is your problem ! ! ! This is John Williams Interpretation not a cover. If you don't like his style don't listen. I am sure he doesn't care what you think about it anyway. I really wish you well and hope something you listen to does satisfy you.

This is like a cross between Attack of the Clones and Schindler’s List. Darker than the original. An interesting new take, I like it.
…? That wasn’t the point. If you hear it it’s more of a Russian and German POV of instrumental music
So tender what a gift it must be to stand in the same room with this woman.
That's so beautiful. I love the prequels music so much. And this "cover" is amazing, incredible, stunning 😍
Maestro has written back this master piece♥️♥️♥️
Simply amazing, thanks :)

Danke sehr, Frau Mutter!
Bien tu puedes
Is there anyway I can get the sheet music to this?
Already a revised version!
Too bad. Personally I got used to the 120 year anniversary DG concert version.
@@Tralamierz40 Well, I am glad for it. That part at 1:10 is wonderfully dark.
I STRONGLY DISLIKE THE FINALE.NOTHING BEATS THE ORIGINAL
This version is already outdated. Mutter played a newer one five days ago in Munich...

I think it's williams because rogue one's score is great in my opinion. It has that star wars magic.
Talking bad about Williams? It's Treason, Then...

Freaking guy's in his 80s. At some point you run out of gas. Doesn't help that the movies sucked.

Original LSO version with oboe is fine. This is just overly complex and the theme doesn't work on violin for some reason.
Too much tragedy I don’t like it.
nice joke. ( I mean i dislike the version) Sounds more like someone is praticing violin upper the original song. Your violin sounds not that bad. GGWP
