GREAT discussion! I would love to work with Dr. Iwasaki. Given that spike protein exacerbates clots, plasmapheresis has effectively been used to reduce long COVID symptoms. Then there is an issue with IgG4. I have ideas to reduce that, too, as it is believed that IgG4 is protecting spike-producing cells.

My wife had all the booster shots and took Paxlovid. However, she developed severe allergic reactions to Paxlovid, including severe breathlessness. Despite this, she developed long COVID and is now in her second year of it. She was never hospitalized. Her symptoms started with migrating lower back pain, with inflammation markers rising to 14. Her lower back pain subsided, but she is now suffering from fatigue syndrome and breathlessness.

Long COVID refers to people who developed symptoms that didn't go away after their immune system appeared to clear the virus. They have chronic fatigue, brain fog, enlarged hearts and kidneys, lung problems and an possible an assortment of other lingering symptoms. Scientists are working hard all over the world to understand what is different in the people suffering from this and the similar conditions which existed prior to the pandemic. Those of us who have had our daily lives disrupted by Long COVID are eagerly waiting for reports on news about advances in this area.

Short covid is the main symptoms, then you recover from those primary symptoms. Long covid is the aftermath of that which continues for about 7% of people. Try not to reduce medical science down to semantics. It's not an argument of words, it's science, facts. Mmk? It's long covid because it's long. Vaccine or not.
