    Do they have complementary snorkel gear you can use? Or do you have to rent them. Any other free watersports you can do off the beach? Heading there Feb. 13! Loved your videos, best I found that covers everything. Thank you!

      You are very welcome and thank you so much for the compliment. There is an entire section for watersports on the adult side beach, I couldn't really differentiate btw what was free and what needed to be paid for honestly. I only went down there once so I don't exactly know that answer but I'm sure if you called or checked out TripAdvisor someone may have left a review covering that topic. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

    Hi, Do they have a lot of umbrellas at the Beach. In your video, i counted about 20? Is that all or is there more? Do they go very quick in the morning?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před rokem

      Hi, I would say they go very quickly but they also have Palm Trees that line the beach which give some naturals shade as well but umbrellas at the beach aren't the greatest.

    These reviews are amazing; thank you so much! Two questions for you, if you remember! 1) Did you rent a cabana at all? Do you know the process of renting a cabana, if there were any? 2) Do you know if walking into the spa was a thing or if calling ahead for reservations is smart?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před 4 měsíci

      Thank you Lindsay I'm glad they are helpful to you. I don't believe we rented a Cabana at this resort but we have at other resorts. I would definitely make a reservation at the spa, I don't believe they take walk in appts.

    Which airport did you fly into? Also do you remember what brand of alcohol was provided minus the beer selection. Thanks.

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před 2 měsíci

      We flew into Punta Cana airport and I believe it was a 45 min drive to the resort.
      I don't remember specific liquor brands bc I wasn't really looking. Many of the all inclusive I have been too tend to use lower shelf liquor for drinks unless you specify.
      I would assume the have some items you would be looking for.
      My apologies I don't remember more on that specifically

    Hello, I would like to ask (if you remember), whether they provided any gluten free options for food as I have a celiac disease and need to be very careful with kitchen contamination. Thank you a lot.

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před rokem

      Veronika I do not have a specific example around gluten free but I was not very impressed around the food service in general. The Market / Buffet had a ton of options so I'm sure they would have something that could fall into the gluten free but when we asked for "specialty" items it was a headache. The resort was missing basic items when it came to service in my opinion.

    Which resort do prefer the Hilton la Roma or Hyatt ziva in Cancun?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před rokem

      Jenny, I liked Cancun way more than I like DR mostly b/c of the service. The water/beaches at the DR were much nicer but the food, service, and overall accommodations in Cancun were better than the DR. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Do you know the height restriction for the water park, for kids?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před 6 měsíci

      I don't remember off hand but I believe there were multiple areas for different age children like a splash pool and then the really big water slides for older kids.

    How is the pool water temperature? Is it too chilly?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před rokem

      It wasn't cold at all when we were there. We went in October it was great for lounging but not too hot.

    Can you you your own float in the lazy river?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před rokem

      Sharon I'm not sure on that. They didn't have a lot of security or oversight at the main gate so you probably could. I'm not sure if the lifeguards would stop you though. I didn't see any signs that stated you couldn't.

    Any nightlife entertainment or club on the resort?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před rokem

      There are shows nightly by the family side restaurant row. There is also a club/casino outside the front lobby. I didn't get a chance to go to that b/c we were with family with smaller children. We were on the family side so I'm not sure what is on the adult side.

    Are there lots of bees and wasps?

    • @detailedtraveler
      @detailedtraveler  Před rokem

      Suzanne, thanks for the comment. Now that you mention it I never thought about it but there was no insects that I remember at all. I don't remember any type of annoying insects.

      Disregard my awful English. Apparently I can't write well in the early Monday mornings😂.
