12 years ago this track was released....still hearing this is 2024! Andy Moor is a genius...period
I first heard this on ASOT 505 and here I am in 2024 still listening to it. It's such a brilliant upgrade to an already fantastic tune ❤️👍
absolute masterpiece. one of the greatest Vangelis Tunes reworked and reshaped into a new song of incredible beauty. definitely wonderful emotionally moving music.
"It's too bad she won't live. But then again, who does". (Blade Runner). Andy Moor was 2 years old when Rachel's Song first appeared on the 1982 Blade Runner sound track. Now he's all grown up he's done a man's job in keeping Rachel alive with this remix. Well decent.
37 now..... how do we continue to keep Rachel ticking along?
I do not believe my suicide will stop artists from remixing great pieces of music such as this one. My point was that perhaps people that listen to this type of music will seek out the original and other Vangelis tracks and expand their musical horizons in a positive way.

It doesn't beat the original but its a great extension of its life and didn't destroy it in any way. I wouldn't mind randomly hearing this when out and about to reminisce a little seeing as the original isn't really party material now is it :)

Rachels song is one of my favourite song and this is good remix :) Little more drama with trance instruments when the singing part is playing would be nice (some tight ass saws with same melody for example)

point granted, however my personal impression is that it has been more or less stagnating since the introduction of house music in the 80's, I'm talking about dance music specifically, not electronic music in general, which is obviously still evolving

It's funny how trance can blend in with classic music as well, it really does the trick making one like classics, and it does that so well at times.

What a horrible desecration of a beautiful song. Did Vangelis and Mary Hopkins even sign off on this? I wouldn't mind if it was a dance-able track, like Chicane did for Clannad's 'Theme from Harry's Game'.
