- The Boiling Pot began in 1985 as a humble fish house where Dot LeBlanc and her son, Mike, sold fresh shrimp and oysters. Soon after, Dot began cooking up fresh seafood for her friends and family and before she knew it, the business took off! Over the years, the restaurant has continued to thrive. Dot passed away in 2013, but her legacy lives on. Mike and his wife, Ramona, continue the business Dot began with the same recipes, service, and fresh seafood!

This is my home town baby!!! ROCKPORT STRONG!!🥰❤️🥰❤️. My Son's dad & father in law (B&E Const) helped rebuild after hurricane Harvey and are currently do some work now there. We love the boiling pot!! Even though I'm allergic to shrimp 😒, the beans and rice is awesome especially the bread! Yummy!! Mike And Ramona are amazing people and nice friends ❤️🥰 God bless you all 🙏😇

We stay in Rockport for 2 weeks in the fall and the Boiling Pot is a must every visit. What an awesome place!

Very cool to have found this video! Me n' pops are one of the few sub contractors that helped build them back up from the rubble that Hurricane "Harvey" left them as!😞 In fact we(B&E const.) are currently doing some minor exterior repairs...Great people for sure!!! Love the boiling pot, went there after a long day fishing the intercostals with my cousin when I was a kid. Some of the best seafood I ever had.
I came here for the food but you do a great job presenting the show.
Ate here with my wife last October. Absolutely delicious. Go spicey.

That's what I like to see, a big fat guy coughing and sneezing over the food in the kitchen. Only thing missing was his sweat dripping in the pot.

It’s inexpensive now, so is Lobster. You can get 2 lobsters at a restaurant for 20 bucks.

I live in Rockport and enjoy the Boiling Pot, but man videos like this make it even harder to go there because of the tourists. So when the Pot is crowded we drive over to Port A and go to The Crazy Cajun and get pretty much the same thing.
So, you complain that a place is getting too crowded from mass exposure on media, and then proceed to give another place you go instead mass exposure on media.

We’ve been here 2 times. The second time was summer 2019. My wife and I took our grandson so he could experience it. I didn’t think much of it the first time, but for our grandson we’d give it another try. The corn seemed like it had been sitting in the pot all day. The sausage is probably the least expensive I’ve ever had. A few shrimp, the crab not even enough for our 9 year old grandson. Red potatoes, yeah well, can’t mess that up too bad. I’m guessing they were expecting Texas Country Reporter. Two 👎 down.
I agree, it is a tourist trap for people who rarely eat seafood and are happy with poor quality because they do not know better

I thought this was a BBQ place so I clicked to see the video and to my surprise it was a seafood restaurant! Almost threw up seeing it..

Where's the seasoning?!?!? Those who know a good seafood boil you need a good, heavy cajun seasoning. Not saying the Boiling Pot isn't good, But the seasoning is the money maker.
Exactly I’m from the area and ate there before and honestly nothing Cajun about it.. I make a way better boil at home and for less than half the price...
You can ask for the seasoning on it , he probably didn’t lol .
The food is overpriced and poor quality, just tourist like it because they never had a real seafood boil.

@redsammy .... there is a new place there called the boil house.... and i once again was disappointed. Like only the corn had flavor, the sausage tasted like you were chewing rubber, the crab stick to the shell when i tried cracking it and peeling it. It really sucks to go to a place with high expectations and it be horrible.

I've lived in Rockport since 1986 and haven't eaten there simply because my wife thinks she needs a plate . That and the one time she went, someone cracked open the crab, and it wasnt cleaned. I'm sure it was tasty but not for the sqemish.
