- This is a delicious and healthy hotdog (corndog) made with rice. It can be good meal or snack. It is more convenient because it does not get on your hands when eating.
Ingredient :
1. 4 sausages
2. 2 bowls of cooked rice (1/2 bowl of rice for each)
3. Cheese
4. Dried seaweed
5. Sauce: 1 TBSP soy sauce, 2/3 TBSP Cooking wine (mirin), 2/3 TBSP corn syrup (honey)

For everyone who wants to make it I tried it... Tips... Use Sushi rice, Don't add too much sesame oil, use gloves (a must), use baking paper, dont let the sausage stick out of the nori, it must be close to exactly even. So it's a little more complicated than you think. But this will make it work.
It's a little more complicated than you think? To me it looks like hours of work xD and even though i wanna try it, i will definitely do it on a weekend day or when i get a day off cause for me it seems time consuming. Thanks for the tips though 😅👍🏻
Why can't sausage stick out of the nori? :(
@@dhyanaic7655Because the difference in size (going from the nori (thick) to the sausage will destroy the rice while baking, the sausage can stick out a bit, but not entirely, u will have problems with the rice, it will fall off in the pan. I may be wrong, but this is just my personal experience making this dish.
@@Heavysjaak oh I see... I was asking cause I wanted to use something else instead of nori (since I believe they don't sell it in my small town) and maybe my idea won't work if the dish has these specific issues. Thanks for your answer
@@dhyanaic7655 I think u can use anything that sticks or is paper like as long the sausage does not stick out too much. It can stick out a bit. But not too much as it goes from thick to thin layer of rice.

Here in the southern US (dunno about elsewhere), deep-fried sushi rolls are a thing. They’re entirely too much for me, but this looks like a much better way to pull off the idea without as much grease
can confirm it's a thing in the northeast as well. some things in there deep fry better than others that's for sure. do NOT deep fry a sushi roll with cucumber in it. JUST DO NOT DO IT..... blegh.

Tried this with regular white rice and it turned out pretty good. The outside was a bit to oily but the inside was delicious.
