Wearing this in highschool in the 80s, this was Eros, Creed Aventus, and Dior Sauvage all rolled into one. The girls in my highschool LOVED a guy in Drakkar Noir.
Do you think that still applies today?
With all the fragrances I own, this is still my number one favourite. I'm a fifty year old gent who had the pleasure of wearing this (back in the 80's) in its original formulation. Despite numerous reformulations through the years, it's still fantastic! A must have on your fragrance shelf. 👍
@Wayne Same here mate!
I’m 56 and this was my very first fragrance. So many sentimental memories forever tied to Drakkar Noir.
This will always be in my collection.
Same
Im 17 and I love to wear it. I allways get Compliments and stand out of the Croud.
It reminds me of my dad , he used to wear this , it suddenly saw it and it brought a flashback of all those memories 😔. RIP Dad.
RIP your dad. The first time I smelled this cologne it reminded me of my Uncle John.
A legend among men with this scent
So sorry wow
Zingy lemony earthy herbal heaven with a gothic edge at the base. Total masterpiece! One of the few scents I smell and it's hard to distinguish the notes by themselves. It's just an experience!

You forgot to talk about projection and longevity!!! Stop slacking damn it
I had it in 1984 i was 12 . But a couple of days ago i found it in a store in Rome and I couldn t resist so i buy it again afther 40 years it has still a lot of style it was the paninari s fragrance
Just picked up a bottle of this and Joop! Homme. I've spent a bit more money on fragrances but I didn't really have any until this year when I was able to afford the ones I wanted. Noir has gotten me so many compliments. Even met an older man that recognized it instantly.
Drakkar noir is a timeless king...still in my rotation since the 80s and still gets tons of compliments even more than my more expensive and modern ones...it just makes me feel clean sexy and confident...my 17 yr old loves it as well
The original formulation of this was gold . Completely different smell. My dad used to have an older sample from a shopping mall. I used to wear it when I was in middle school
My signature scent! 💯
Good taste, mine too along with terre d hermes
I know I’m super late to this but this is one of mine too
I own like 7 different colonges that cost $400+ and surprisingly drakkar noir gets more compliments then all of them except Layton by Parfums de Marly
This to me is the precursor to modern day "blue" scents. It has that unmistakable 'fresh out the shower' scent but with an old school edge that modern fragrances sorely lack. Timeless and still punches above its weight - in fact, it will knock most modern fragrances out cold.
10/10 to me .
THE BEST!!!
Delightful. Love the smell, it takes me to a small town here in Mexico called Manzanilla de la Paz that smelled like cut pine wood and moist soil. It lasts very little on me, around 4 or 5 hours when overspraying, but it is great. Sauvage from the 80's i would say. Not animalic nor harassing at all, i would even say young women that don't know it at all would really like it
One of my all time favorites! If you're old enough, one whiff and it will take you back to the men's fragrance counter of your favorite 1980s department store.
Got it today and it smells good
Still better than 75% of today's mens fragrances!
This fragrance gets compared to dior sauvage elixir. To be honest first time I smelled elixir it reminded me of my dad because he wore the crap out of drakkar
I’ve been wearing this for about ten years
How often do you get compliments wearing it?
@@anthony9580 surprisingly often. I also switch up occasionally with chrome unlimited.
Still like this one a lot. Wish I had a bottle from the late 80's
What’s the longevity?
I'm 28 years old and I wore this for the first time today. It's about 60 degrees so I thought this fragrance would be appropriate. It didn't disappoint at all. It smells quite a bit like shaving cream, but that's not a deal breaker. It's a very pleasant and masculine scent
No lies detected 💯
Drakkar Noir has really grown on me cause of it's Gillette shaving cream effect. Drakkar Noir is the absolute balls 💈🧼💪
It should be in every guy’s top 5 go to fragrances. Yes it’s old school 80’s scent, but it’s a classic. And it’s probably dropped more panties, than 98% of the other fragrances out there.
Legendary perfume that is still relevant today 👍
how much
Im a young man 99’ and i can say to this day I get head turners with this cologne
trust me
not in a good way
The new reformulated version smells better than the original juice. I have the original bottle and I don't like the smell. Smells like old leather coats and flowers. I love the reformulated version.
Do you think it's possible that maybe your old bottle went bad? I still like the newer version, but it doesn't have quite the same depth as the original, in my opinion.
@@jonbriggs9029 My original bottle didn't go bad. It has smelled the same since I first bought it. Never liked the smell. I like the new formulation of it.
Had that one about 30 years ago, back then still in a white transparent bottle. 🙂
Edit: Correction, had the original Drakkar too, which had a transparent bottle.
👍
Have you smelled Drakkar Intense yet ? Hopefully they will release a Drakkar NOIR Intense soon!
Amazing video what the heck
To me this smells alot like shaving cream covered in cinnamon. I get a very loud cinnamon note off the top. To me this smells like cinnamon more than any thing else.
U probably got drakkar intense
Please tell me about longetive and sillage of this!
Moderate
Us old guys like it
I really tried to like this fragrance but I can’t
I feel u same bro same
I got coolwater over this today and Obsession last week over this.
I think some like the idea of this cologne. They might even spray it on here, and there, but the actual smell isn't very good after a few sniffs. It's like baby powder smell.
The idea is nice, but it's a 4 out of 10 in my book.
Obsession is for grandpas
@fishingislife9554 I'm ok with that. One day, your cologne will be grandpa's, too.
I felt the same way after I got my nose on Cool Water again!
@stealingmyserenityso it's something ya can put on and be fresh without offending anyone. It's not so nice that you wear it to a wedding but it'd something you can put on every day anywhere sorta spray
What company makes the cool water one?
as a skater its just THE cologne in the community lol
My middle school 👏 cologne
How old are you?

Affordable? Just seen this at 'The Bay' for $120.00 for a 100ml
That price is simply taking advantage of chumps. You should be able to find a bottle for about a third of that if you're savvy and shop around.
you can get 100ml online for under 25 bucks. doesn’t get much more affordable than that
@@LISE_NR I've discovered Fragrancenet . Here in Canada its about $40 ( Everything is far more expensive here) but yeah it blows my mind that a department store wants three times what the online price is...and even at $40 for 100ml Fragrancenet is still making a nice little profit. Imagine what kind of profit the department stores are making. Sickening.
@@Anthony_Spilotro wtf? Walmart sells Drakar .......... 🤣 This smell is so easy and cheap to find.
I found a 200ml bottle for 75$ So 100ml for 120$ is just some guy tryna take advantage
How many puffs would be enough
Max of 3
You know they came out with another version is in a blue bottle
3 things to know about Drakkar Noir. 1. This juice is the balls. 2. Drakkar Noir is the absolute balls. 3 Drakkar Noir is undeniably the absolute balls 💈🧼💪😎
To me, this smells less outdated than Cool Water.
U have drakkar 9.5 & gave allure home extreme 8.5 🧐
Allure homme E. sucks lol. Smells like bland vanilla water & great value dryer sheets from walmart. Drakkar is a masterpiece!
@@oceansoflorewi I hear u buddy
@@mahmoudMohamed-fh4no we got the same names lol
It doesn’t really smell that good on my skin. I legit feel like I’m smelling an old man.
I just got a 6.7 ounce bottle of this. Don't buy Drakkar Noir anymore men, it's just so weak now. Becomes a skin scent in 15 to 20 minutes. Get Belcam's classic match instead, smells just like it and last alot longer.
I bought this as a blind buy and I returned it right away. Smelled like an old man
😂😂😂
Cry about it
Lol what? This is THE precursor to the modern day 'blue' fragrances which have been dominating for the past 10 years. Old man would be a powdery fougere.
9.5 for THIS?!? You just lost all credibility!
Smells like soap.
Very true
