Great tips!!!! I like the "Start with the tools you already have tip". I always feel that I have to buy the newest coolest thing.
Thanks, I just figure, if you're already making good products. May as well sell them. Reinvest that money. And grow from there. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
Excellent tips!!! Thank you! I like the “turn a pen” and give it with the finished job. Great idea!
Thanks Dave. I tend to do that often. Make a little something to give with it. Customers love that. Great comment 👍
Awesome and timely video, Mike! I've just been doing one-off projects for friends and family (and investing that money back into tools), but am getting to the point where I want to put myself out there to more people and batch out some smaller pieces. "Make that sawdust and make that money!"
Thanks Cole. Thats great news! I know you will be successful. You certainly have the shop,, experience, and the dedication to be on top. Best of luck. And please, Keep me posted on your journey. 👍

Nice job sir 👍. My shop is getting close.
Thanks Nate, you got this! I'm excited for you and to see your business grow. 👍
Thanks for the tips! I have all the tools I need to have a successful business, I just need the confidence to do it. I’m starting out by making a few products and placing them on websites to see how that goes. I don’t have a website for my business as I’m not sure how to get that going yet, no do I have business cards or anything. I’m just starting out so still lost in the weeds. Unfortunately, the cost of wood really hurts as it’s so expensive to make anything. My other issue is getting material as I don’t have anything but a Home Depot near me. I’m in Southern California. I just need to start!
Thanks Brent, yes. I say just start as well. You can do it. Your confidence will come as you start selling your goods. I'm glad you will start with the tools you have. You got this.👍
Great video !! Some really helpful tips Mike
Thanks Rob, did you see your mallet behind me? I'm planning a short video about how awesome it is. 👍
@@Woodcraft716 yes I did and I look forward to seeing it when it comes out 👍

Thanks Brian, hopefully it can help someone get started. Thanks for watching and commenting. That's awesome!
@@Woodcraft716 I just retired and would like to supplement my income. I have been doing woodworking projects for Friends and family and have a garage full of tools. Don’t have a band saw or a lathe though. Anyway, I appreciate the information. I’m in south Florida, Fort Lauderdale area.
@@Hot88s it's a great way to supplement your income. Hopefully we can help each other. I love getting tip, tricks and advice from the comments.
Collect that cash. The owner at the company I work for said one time, “if they ain’t squealing, then you ain’t charging enough.” Not sure if that was good advice but I’ve always remembered it. Lol….. I like the outro
thanks Jaden. lol to your boss. thats really funny. sounds like he knows what he's talking about. I don't push it that far "yet". but I may someday. ha. thanks for watching and commenting buddy 👍
When can we expect a new building project
I'm working on one now. Should be next week or the following week. Depending on how long it takes to edit it.
@@Woodcraft716 Thanks for the response looking forward to the video
I think getting organized is my biggest setback right now. I started a French cleat wall. Now I just have to make all the holders and place them. Being picky about what goes where makes it worse tho. 🙃
Take your time. It will pay off when you go to grab something and you know right where it is. I love efficient shops.
Great tips Mike, get ahold of me cause I'd like to buy a turned pen from you...
Thanks Tom. Lol. I'll be batching some pen out soon. I'll let you know when they are done. 👍
