To those who are in denial here - what he said is true. The reason why he or others noticed it at the first place is only because there is a pattern to it. You and I might not be doing it, but unfortunately many Indians do, and the bad name it brings affects all of us. So it is important to speak about it. Any time we speak about improvements we Indians do a denial first, which doesn't help. Whenever I travel outside, I consciously try to compensate for others behaviour. I know it's not necessary, but without it whats the hope of clearing our names? I believe an active problem needs an active solution.

One of air hostess in Dubai Trivandrum flight was from the same place as my wife and became very friendly towards us and chatted with her a lot and said, if you get that route it is considered a punishment. I felt ashamed in front of my wife.
We Indians as a people need to change consciously in various areas of life. We in general are indisciplined, openly selfish, very little consideration for larger public good.

@@remyam632 , With all due respect, whether we like it or not, this will keep happening unless a conscious effort is made to fix it. Don't we all take pride in success of other Indians, let that be our movies or cricket team or chess players? I would like to believe this is the opposite side of such victories.
It's better to criticize ourselves and correct our uncivilized behavior rather than be exposed to other countries. Criticize ourselves to improve ourselves.
