Nice project, but I'm worried about dust accumulation. In my opinion, if someone needs an access point outdoor, buying a PoE access point, those flat ones that don't have antennas, and putting it in an outdoor electrical box is a better solution. It needs only one wire, And no dust or humidity issues. Putting a router and cooling it is just not doing anything better, because it's working as an access point, the routing is done on the main router.
I was looking for different options. I originally tried a plug AIMESH extender but that was unreliable and couldn’t get good back haul. I’m kinda committed to ASUS AIMESH since I have it all over the house. Luckily the AC1900 was only like $25 used. I spent more on the enclosure 😂😂
