  • Carlo Ancelotti has been a manager I've admired ever since I completed his book A Quiet Leadership. So I've been looking for one of his many teams to analyse.
Carlo Ancelotti's Champions League winning team is arguably one of his most interesting teams and it's the first in which we see the Christmas Tree Formation.
In this video we take a look at the tactics involved.

Great video to learn a bit deeper on one of the greater sides we’ve seen this century. The craziest thing is that 06/07 version of AC Milan under Ancelotti weren’t as good as their versions in 2003 and 2005, which puts it all into perspective how incredible they were. I also wanted to say thank you for recommending the book Ancelotti made about his experience as a manager. I’d seen this video much earlier but when I saw the mention of the book I went straight to try to read it and I loved it. He’s one of my favorite managers because he seems to push for a lot of attacking freedom with the great players he has with strong defensive principles behind that. I think the way he manages personalities makes me like him even more as a manager off what I read in this book as well.

It's one of my favourite football books. I read it a few times now!

Thanks! Much appreciated! If England want to offer me a job - I'm there! Haha! My animations are done in a couple of different programs. Keynote for the simple movements and Davinci Resolve for the more complex movements
