following his hair growth and the cuts he's been getting along the way over 4 years you can see how he gets this short volume in the front and mullet in the back... and his hair is wavy in nature, as a child it was straight and as he cut it, it became curled, you can follow the hair growth in some random video of his evolution on the guitar...

Pretty close but the back of his hair is much more layered than what you've done and generally shorter too. He's lucky that he has a lot of hair so he can get away with all the layering. Also he has either someone style it for him, or a lot of time to spend styling it himself 🤣 either way great cut with a few modifications is on point.

I’d personally have those as an undercut, then the top be the haircut. With that being said, I have no experience with this haircut. 💜💜 Undercuts are my favourite thing to do!
