Hi! I've revamped my 2nd channel for me to be dedicated to producing quality Synthesia piano tutorials of my music on that channel. This song is perfect, I just feel like it could be a letter that wrote Ymir to Historia. I started to learn this, the cover is so great
This cover, in particular, makes me so emotional. I love it so much.
Even though the series has gotten better, this song still floods me with emotional memories of when times were much simpler, when Eren was still a brat, and when Ymir was alive and asking “Krista/Christa” to marry her. Back then, the enemies were simply titans. Who is the real enemy now? I wanna go back to those times where I was oblivious to the horrors outside the walls and was just fighting titans. Even though the story wasn’t fun, looking back, I just wanted to see our characters’ happy faces as they train or when they fight titans. Now, many of my beloved characters have lost the sparkle in their eyes, what made them happy. They grow up to a dark and cruel world. This reminds me of how the real world works too...

This hits hard. I miss season 1-3 when it's all about killing titans, and seeing our beloved characters in their usual selves was beautiful. Season 4 really took a different turn (which I still love), this also applies in real life. Life was good and peaceful during S1-3 days and when the series ended, Life also took a different turn. We just need to keep moving forward. I miss AOT 1-3 and the life back then

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Except it sounds a little more sad and wistful in this version. It's kind of like what they did with Marco's theme. It was beautiful, and it was like a more wistful remake of 'reluctant heroes'. They do a great job of using the same tune and making them sound nearly completely different eh?
Exact same tune with different lyrics was in Aot Junior high ep 9 near the end.

Thank you for sharing the sheet music for free as well, massive help for me as a total beginner. I have managed to play the whole song now and it has boosted my confidence. I’m still very slow in reading the sheet music, that’s why it took me three whole days to learn the whole song while many players probably could’ve sight reading it in 10 minutes, but I will keep practising and improving, thank you!
That's fine, any progress is good progress, this arrangement is easy but it is still a feat if a beginner like you can play it. I've been playing piano for almost 13 years and still is really bad at reading music sheets. I mainly play by ear now. Check out my video I made years ago on my channel on "How to play by ear" to get a grasp and understanding, I think you'll be interested. It'll help you learn how to teach yourself.

@@Zworri Do it like me. I started practicing that part with a simplified version, only using the main bass notes, then i implemented the other two parts of the bass that goes between the three main. The more you look at it, the easier it is to comprehend. First time I was looking at it I was like 'nah i wont be able to fit these two parts together' but its really easy if you pay attention and organise the notes apart to understand the theory of them

try practicing each hand separately and slowly and once you get each hand down to decent muscle memory slowly start to try and mesh them together!

How long does it take for experienced Pianists to learn this song ? A few days ? Or weeks?
This is not a very difficult arrangement. A skilled pianist might just need 30mins to a couple hours to play this well. Some might need a day or even a week. Of course the answer depends on what an 'experienced' pianist mean to you 🙂

I have a question on the part from 1:55 to 2:25. For left hand, is it an improvise or is there any special meaning to this arrangement? As I find it similar but slight different. For example, sometimes you arrange it for EBE chord, but sometimes you would only play E and B together but not with E, and sometimes it’s not pressing them together but in sequence, is it to add some subtle differences to make the piece better?
It's improvised yet not at the same time. I just felt it sounded nice while arranging it so I played it that way. I won't say it is to make it "better", but I went ahead with it since it sounded good to me. While arranging/improvising, just try out all kinds of things, try out 'what if i remove this and add it there instead?' 'What if I play this pattern in an opposite direction instead?' etc. Don't worry about whether it is slightly different or very similar and concise, it's about enjoying the playing and making something that You feel is nice. Just my 2 cents :)
